For the sake of the plot, someone had to stop The Spectre's rampage.
It's what all comic storylines revolve around.
And it didn't make much sense, considering the fact that DoV Spectre's magic was > Nabu's.. Nabu, whose magic is above ALMOST every other magic user in DC.

That's not pis it's an example of someone stomping on him you want to disregard. I don't ignore comics and showings simply because I don't like them.

No one stopped the Spectre's rampage by the way.

Marvel was amped by all other users and Nabu wanted the Spectre to kill him so the Spectre would be shut down for these actions.

on average he doesnt measure up to the Big G. also WTF happen to the spectre? i remember when he use to chase and fight werewolves, and vampires... now they got him being the DCU protector, which he does a horrible job at doing by the way...

Exactly, that's a fanboy excuse imo Spectre fans cling to when their character loses.

The Spectre also needed an outside amp to step to coie Am.

i mean since he has bn retconned as the wrath of god and DCU guardian how many retcons has he failed to stop?

its his Freaken job and half the time he isnt even involved and the other half he is taken out of the fight and imprisoned and at least once was responsible for a DC catastrophy

I don't think Spectre should be the protector of the DCU. I think they need to bring back the Word and have him fill that role while the Spectre becomes a sort of divine Punisher and occasional hero.
Really there's too big of an inconsistency in purpose between protector of all that is and punisher of evil deeds. The Living Tribunal doesn't kill supervillains or atomize street thugs for stealing an old lady's purse.
