How would he absorb Monarch, it'd be more reasonable for Monarch to absorb Prime's energy imo

It's obvious SMP will win, but we can be sure he won't die, he will prolly be one of or the main villain of Final Crisis.

Though I wonder who will be the main heavy for Final Crisis.

You should still respect Darkseid as he does have a very rich history as a character and will return to his former glory sometime in the future.

I feel he has dropped for me like the apocalypse character. Sure he will always be a memorable villian, but I can't see him as the ultimate threat anymore.
