You are saying this isn't a sucker attack?

crylaugh

Where did she use speed in that scene?

We both know that I knew that.

All I'm going to say is this: If you keep it up, you're going to end up getting banned. It's as simple as that.

I'm not sure why producing scans of the things I say is going to get me banned, if I may say. Carver has actually lowballed for years and I don't see him getting banned, quan does this everytime he appears and without producing anything to prove it. I posted Supergirl tanking Zeus lightning, Superboy tanking it twice and on that basis I said superman would tank it. Why is it lowballing?

@ABHI..

That's not a sneak attack. He froze her, she got out of it, disappeared using speed, winked behind him and snapped them ears.

ABHI...

When did I lowball?

Haha, what? She didn't use any speed and it was a suckerattack in every sense of the world. You say that Superman punching Bizarro in the face is a sucker attack but wonder woman attacking superman from behind while he was using super-hearing isn't a sucker attack? Are you ****ing serious here? Do you know what a suckershot IS?

Its laughable that I get accused of lowballing while posting accurate depictions and scans and this guy gets scott free while spouting lies like this.

Every time you post.

Also Rucka was quite fond of weaker character disorienting stronger characters with such suckershots. Just a few issues earlier Batman did the same to wonder woman.

@ABHI...

Where did Wonder Woman go when she disappeared from Superman?

Behind him as shown in the same page.

He looked behind him when he broke the rock. Where was she when he turned around after breaking the rock?

😕

Denial isn't going to help, nor is mentioning other members of this site. You're lucky that me not being able to debate Superman on this site anymore isn't part of the equation either.

Constant lowballing and misrepresentation of feats is one thing, but the aggression that goes with it just isn't going to wash. Add in the constant denial of wrongdoing (I mean ****, even Carver knows when to shut the **** up), and it makes me think it would be easier to just drop the hammer and be done with it.

I'm not trying to be mean, just straightforward.

Behind him. Superman didn't know that Doomsday would run and hide.

Ok. I'm not sure where I misrepresented anything regarding any character or be aggressive without being provoked but I'm not going to argue you on it.

He grabbed a rock Diana isnt there, he look behind him, Diana isnt there. He use his Vision to try to find her but fail, he then resorts to his hearing and she appears behind him out of nowhere. 2+2=4. She blitzed him. Get over it.

She blitzed him by standing perfectly still behind him and waiting for him to activate his super-hearing when his hearing is always active?

😂

She APPEARED behind him. He looked behind himself in the first scan...thats why he said there is no where she can hide. Now again, where was she when he turned around after breaking the rock?

In the air behind him since in his mind Superman was fighting doomsday who can't fly.

So you concede that it was a suckershot as the rest of humanity, right?

Too many quotes flying around not to notice some of this exchange ...

Got to say this is actually pretty good reasoning I'm seeing.

Plausible, too, since one of Rucka's goals was apparently to interject as much human realism in this fight as possible.

Thinking of yesterday, for I searched for some old materials in the Superman forum thread of similar name. Stumbled upon a section where someone said it was plausible that, just before pulling out the ring Bruce gave her, Wonder Woman kneed Superman where it counts.

I thought about it and re-examined the artwork.

It actually makes considerable sense. That would explain, why, after being gouged in the EYES, Superman is doubled over as if he were enduring pain to his MIDSECTION. Then I considered Diana's knee in an almost Muay Thai position. That would be consistent with artwork trying to represent her position one second after delivering a knee strike.

Finally, I did a "Paint" enlargement of the panel I was looking at and noticed "impact rays down in the lower left corner. Easy to mistake for the background light the whole scene is washed in.

It all fit.

The poster was probably right.

Whether Rucka or the artists came up with it, everything was consistent with Diana, indeed, kneeing Superman, possibly where it counts, one second before reaching to retrieve Bruce's ring.

While the late-night crowd is lurking about, can someone confirm for me whether the following 2 scans, which I found online yesterday, are in direct sequence?

Here's the first:

... and here's the second.

There's a very potentially interesting discussion to be had if these ARE, indeed, in direct sequence in JLnU's current Pandora arc ...

Yes, they are in sequence. Don't get your hopes up though, superman is dying there and is barely strong enough to stand.
