A GL Ring vs. Supermans powers

to answer all of that: yes, a GL=Ring is capable of doing so. the Rings have shown (numerous times) the easily-done capability to re-write a persons physiology, even altering genetic code, so if U have just a bit of knowledge about DNA U *could* re-work it into something MORE than human.

so in short, its like a few posters have said: U could make yurself into Superman (if U so wished) , and still have the Ring.

The first one, a yes? How can that be? I mean I just said can they imagine something to keep the ring itself powered up indefinitely without the 24hr limit. If they can do that why don't they do it? Or have they actually done it?

ahhh, I see wat U wanted. to answer that it theoretically should be possible to unite yurself w/the Ring and the Battery (given that we have 3 examples of GLs who have absorbed LARGE amounts of nrg and seen how powerful *they became*), but on the flipside I can recall 1 time when Hal specifically tried to absorb the contents of his Lantern and had probs holding it all in. I honestly cant give a definitive answer here on that particular ponderance; too much of it is "possibility".

interesting thing here is: U can reshape both the Ring AND the Lantern into something thats far more portable...like say matching gauntlets. when ya run low on power U could clasp them together and *BOOM!!* instant recharge.

and yes, incase sum1 asks we've seen BOTH reshaped into other shapes & sizes.

The problem with the ring is that it doesn't have enough energy to last any meaningful time. So after the juice runs out then everyone who chose the ring will feel like a donkey and wished they chose Superman's power instead.

Because throughout GLs history they need to recharge the ring with a battery.

Or you know....they could change their DNA giving them innate powers. Kyle gave himself telekinisis doing this. So you know, they could scan a Superman type character and turn into him.

if yur referring to when Kyle was infiltrating the Black Circle, then thats incorrect; Kyle wore his Ring while incognito, however wat he managed to do is change his appearance (and I assume voice) and render his energy output another color so that it wasnt the obvious tell-tale green hue.

U realize that if cut off from the sun Supes energy would likely last *far less* than a GL-Rings 24 hour charge right??
