Actually, in those scans, the last picture, Thanos does indeed look frightened, he even schields himself with his arm, looking about like he would run any moment. If he wasn't afraid wouldn't he then stand in his "natural" fearless pose like in the beginning. You see his confidence, then after he notices that his shield won't hold his whole stance shifts to an defensive position, this is simply put fear 😄
There a number of things supporting my claim. For starteres there is a verbal acknowlegment that he would want to aovid the hulk( which is no doubt motivated by fear..it isnt a difficult conclusion to draw) and he had his shield up, not mention the artist depiction of his facial reaction. So it lookes like the actual publisher is on my side here with this...is there anythig left to debate.
Why the fuck would Thanos say he would avoid a fight with someone? He had the balls to stand up to stand with Odin did he not? He seems like the type to have zero problems, with getting his hands dirty. Somethings wrong with that statement. It would seem that whoever wrote that story was trying to imply something.
