Do the Marvel and Dc multiverses exist within the same creation?

This is to everyone.

I see this behavior is carried over into another thread. If there's any more trouble I will hand out warnings. For some of you that will result in a temp ban. Thanks.

Oh yeah of course it doesn't exist elsewhere, because YOU say so... now I suppose you'll go back to spamming this thread up with irrelivant scans.

Actually proof is pointless with you.

But I'll be waiting for your source that defines the term Omniverse. 🙂

Actually, it really doesn't.

This is the primary (first link) in your link:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omniverse (in a nut shell)

"The term "omniverse" is believed to have been created by Mark Gruenwald.

The name Omniverse,
was used for an early-1980s semi-professional comic book fan magazine
which explored the ramifications of the DC Comics and Marvel Comics combined Multiverses."
...................................................................................

Like I said,
ONLY concerning Mark Gruenwald does this term have any significance.

It was coined by him, and defined by him.

Marvel is the ONLY company that continuously uses the term,
in fact, DC has used it ONCE,
while Marvel's been referencing it,
adapting it to their stories,
making it an intricate part of Marvel Cosmology since the early 80's.

Heck, Marvel has even destroyed the entire Omniverse on several occasions.

...................................................................................

So thanx for the link friend, you were helpful.

LMFAO

This necessity of this term comes from the current theories and speculations about the "Universe" splintering into: universe, multiverse, many-worlds interpretation, M-theory, Parallel universe, Possible worlds and so on, some of which are nonexistent outside the realm of science fiction. So a term that represents "all universes" has become necessary. Etymologically, "Universe" might be translated as "all facing", i.e., confronting or addressing everything. Traditionally, the term is meant to refer to the entirety of reality. Omni- is a prefix meaning "all", making the omniverse encompass all possible universes, unlike the multiverse that can encompass any two or more universes. Recently, the idea of a multiverse has had limited although notable scientific appeal, and widespread popular appeal, in spite of the inherent etymological contradiction that it introduces."

Since Latin itself isn't good enough how about we go with the source you're using?

Oh look at that all universes...

And again no, More than just marvel and DC use the term.

http://www.theomniverse.com/

Oh here's a good one:

http://www.marvel.com/universe/Marvel_Universe
Clarification of terms "multiverse," "megaverse," and "Omniverse"
Multiverse refers to a group of related realities, usually those sharing the same high-ranking cosmic entities (Eternity for example).

Megaverse refers to a larger group of realities, usually including partial and whole multiverses, which may be considered in some way "closer" to one another, thus making travel between them somewhat easier than between realities not within the same megaverse.

Omniverse is EVERY reality, including those published by other companies.

Or this one:

http://www.marvel.com/universe/Glossary😮#Omniverse

Omniverse
The collection of every single universe, dimension, reality, etc. This includes the real world, as well as the Marvel Universe, the Star Trek Universe, the Image Universe, etc.

I could continue... but seriously, it wouldn't make much sense for you to argue against the fact that Omniverse means all universes now... but then again, you probably will anyway.

Um... Lulz?

You can't even attempt to justify saying that the term Omniverse only ever has proper context when used in, or about a comic book. I assure you that, as the word is latin and now at all newfangled or made up, it does not "belong" to any one person- so to argue that Marvel and DC are one would be to argue that they also exist within www.theomniverse.com, and simultaneous to the omniverse music downloading page.

Finally, this is all fairly asinine anyways, because in this thread we've taken the fine line between fan and obsession to the point of delusion, and we've stomped, beaten and raped it to no end.

Fact remains that the term Omniverse in Comic books
has only been referrence in Marvel Comics, once in DC.

Only Marvel has described what their Omniverse is:

For all who are still curious,
Here are the excerpts we are referring to,
from the last page of the latest issue of Exiles:
(questionnaires addressed to the Writers)

"The Omniverse... There are infinite MULTIverseS inside it"

This description was literally confirmed On Panel in a story:

....................................................................................

(Goblin Queen/Beyonder's essence) ... like I said, ONLY Marvel's Omniverse!!!!

"The Beyonder Walks amongst us ... He will Destroy Everything"

"The MultiverseS ...

the Past ... the Present ... the Yet to Be ... will ALL be Destroyed"

....................................................................................

Hmm ... perhaps just the term MultiverseS on its own isn't enough.

Meh, how's this then ...

"In the Countless MultiverseS you (Alex) alone are unique"

"So much Power in such a small mind ...

we could have Conquered the MultiverseS together ...

Now I will have to do it alone"

...............................................................................

..............................................................................

Only Marvel has depicted an actual Omniverse (literally illustrated)

This is one artistic illustration out of SIX!
.................................................................................

Exiles (2008)

"Crystal Palace ... home of the Exiles ...
when they look up into the sky at night at what they believe are Stars ...
... it turns out they're really beholding Entire DimensionS,
the WHOLE, incredible panoply (collection) of the Omniverse ...
... right before their eyes"

................................................................................

Only Marvel has literally destroyed said Omniverse on panel:

..........................................................................

X-Men Die by the Sword - (Late 2007)

"Not long ago, the Omniverse was swept
by a Temporal Reality Wave of unimaginable power,
that literally tore the Continuum to bits and Re-arranged it"

..........................................................................

Only Marvel has made a claim as to who Created said Omniverse:

.............................................................................................................

1. Omniverse

2. TOAA

1. "Group of alternate universeS which encompasses ALL Reality"

2. The entity believed to be the Supreme being/Creator of the Omniverse"

.....................................................................................................

"fan obssession and delusion" whatever has to be directed at Marvel comics.

Because they're the ones artistically illustrating said description of the Omniverse.

..........................................................................

Now, that undeniable proof can't be countered.

Whether Marvel is delusional or not is not for me to figure out,
but what I do know,
is that I ain't lying or being delusional about what they're putting out there. 😬

Aside from the uncalled for insults,
nice debate though, have a good night friend.

Reported for spamming and trolling. 🙂

1st-how can omniverse only be referenced in marvel....but once in DC?
so what are you trying to prove? only in marvel=false

2nd-the scan of the exiles info is not a description of marvels omniverse(lets see the whole definition and its context)
The omniverse-not MARVELS OMNIVERSE=big difference, they are showing a portion of the omniverse nothing more

3rd- the scans of the goblin queen and beyonder-what is the proof? that they say multiverses? and thats supposed to cement your case, it seems like spamming non information to me

4TH-The goblin queen and havok..again stating multiverses is not proof in any way shape or form of marvel having its own omniverse

5th- now we get to your marvel artisticly drawing the omniverse-THE OMNIVERSE not MARVELS OMNIVERSE..and they can only show MARVELS characters and such...copywrite law? more spamming

6th and on to the "Not long ago, the Omniverse was swept
by a Temporal Reality Wave of unimaginable power,
that literally tore the Continuum to bits and Re-arranged it"

I wonder why it says omniverse and then says "CONTINUUM TO BITS"
such a claim! you even leave out this
"Then after a time it apparently reversed itself and put everything back the way it was" "well almost everything..his name is james jaspers"

Which we have handled many times in this thread, still spamming?it will always be stopped or reversed, and its only from marvels perspective

8th- "Only Marvel has made a claim as to who Created said Omniverse:"
1. Omniverse

2. TOAA

1. "Group of alternate universeS which encompasses ALL Reality"

2. The entity believed to be the Supreme being/Creator of the Omniverse"

This is marvel why would they say otherwise? they say believed to be..as in assuming-----handled many times, still no proof

The answer is: "Yes, the both exist in ours."

😖mart:

i didn't know Stan Lee and Jack Kirby made me
they're TOAA and God right ?
and TOAA made the omniverse

but i just want to see this thread continue

Mr M, when will the Marvel Hierarchy be bumbed?

This thread needs to be bumped, new arguments seem to be poping up, lets see if anybody bothers 🙂

Anybody have the second volume of the official marvel handbook hardcover?
