Irrelevant. Galactus is a being who requires outside sustenance. Phoenix is hooked up to an infinite energy source. Glaactus could have just eaten a planet and still lost to Phoenix. He would eventually exhaust his energy reserves and then be back to square one.
Galactus admitted his major disadvantage to Phoenix in their conflict which you're referring to:
"I hover near to death, exhausted in our struggle, while you are neither weary, nor hungry, because you tap into a source of near limitless potential"
"I have NEED of SUSTENANCE"

Phoenix even knows she's fighting a HUNGRY (WEAK) Galactus:
"You have NOT the Strength to Continue this conflict"

Nice try .... 🙂

Galactus is limited by his need for outside sustenance.
He eats, his reserves are depleted, then he must eat again.

Yeah right. If it appease you, cool.

Hahhahaha 😆
Wasn't that in in the issue when then Phoenix Force destroyed that universe, destroying everything in it's path?

Anyway Rachel avatar phoenix is considered weak as well.

Precisely.
Mr Master ignores the fact that in that What If he posted, Jean was weak at the time she fought and beat Galactus.
The fact that the comic stated Jeans power was weakened but it was regaining strength after her having beem lobotomized.
And most importantly regardless of Galactus' comments, Jean went on to consume that entire universe rendering Galactus for all his bravado quite irrelevant 🙂

couldn't Galactus just chomp down on the Phoenix force?
he does have the ability to feed on Hyperspace, on the dark dimension and a lot of other such cosmic forces.
Nothing stopping her from taking it back, even if he could, if her powers are truly unlimited then he won't put a dent in her. Not to mentioned he might of tried it when he was "starving".

I only ised that stupid What if,
cause it's the only time they've really made an attempt at battle.
But you're right, it should be disregarded all around.
Which leaves us with,
there's absolutely no proof that Phoenix has ever,
or could ever defeat a normal 616 Galactus.

Unless you believe the Phoenix in Galactus' Universe was erased along with the rest.

The guy that uses a scan from FF Annual #23
to show off Phoenix as the sustenance of the Stars:
But denies This scan from the very SAME issue:
This scan is dismissed by pino,
because it states that the LT exists in multiple MultiverseS simultaneously.
Oh no, can't have a character be beyond Multiversal when Phoenix is just Universal,
I can't have that,
especially when I'm going around claiming Phoenix is the power behind Marvel,
or that we're only reading current publications because of Phoenix. 😆
It also stomps that "Marvel is a single Multiverse" tossed aside theory.

So heed your own advice, and DON'T "pick and choose" like you accuse others of doing.

Or simply because it makes sense, due to historical accounts.
It also makes sense, more sense, that they thought DP being more dangerous because of being more powerful and being unstoppable in that state.
Galactus also can't control himself when he is starving, many times wanted to eat Earth, but came to some agreement or was bested.

I disagree ... Rachel was bonded fully to the Force.
She was bonded fully, but could never use it's full powers.

This doesn't belong to this thread, but I see your point.
But still, pretty much everything comes from 616.

Galactus can manipulate the energy into some other form or just directly amp himself off of it. he is afterall truly infinite in energies too (the universe, hyperspace and potentially the multiverse all are food for him).
iirc in one of his fights with the PF, he commented on how her energies were the substance of future life and that she was destroying future life in fighting with him. I guess the reason he doesn't just absorb those energies ruthlessly is the same reason he doesn't just feed off of any old sentient planet, he serves "cosmic consonance" not himself.
