Precisely.

Mr Master ignores the fact that in that What If he posted, Jean was weak at the time she fought and beat Galactus.

The fact that the comic stated Jeans power was weakened but it was regaining strength after her having beem lobotomized.

And most importantly regardless of Galactus' comments, Jean went on to consume that entire universe rendering Galactus for all his bravado quite irrelevant 🙂

Mr Master, you must realize when Galactus is fed and when he would face Phoenix, he would sooner or later deplete. And when facing someone so powerful as Phoenix, he would deplete rather quickly.

Nothing stopping her from taking it back, even if he could, if her powers are truly unlimited then he won't put a dent in her. Not to mentioned he might of tried it when he was "starving".

Actually he was in the process once, but that was when Phoenix II gave herself willingly. He wouldn't be able to do it with brute force, otherwise he would already do it in the first fight.

just like there's no proof the Phoenix was erased

I never knew she beat him, but I enjoyed the add-on.

I only ised that stupid What if,
cause it's the only time they've really made an attempt at battle.

But you're right, it should be disregarded all around.

Which leaves us with,
there's absolutely no proof that Phoenix has ever,
or could ever defeat a normal 616 Galactus.

It also makes sense, more sense, that they thought DP being more dangerous because of being more powerful and being unstoppable in that state.
Galactus also can't control himself when he is starving, many times wanted to eat Earth, but came to some agreement or was bested.

well, it's kind of a second front in a battle if you're having to fight to reacquire your energies from your opponent, as well as try and harm him.

Galactus can manipulate the energy into some other form or just directly amp himself off of it. he is afterall truly infinite in energies too (the universe, hyperspace and potentially the multiverse all are food for him).

iirc in one of his fights with the PF, he commented on how her energies were the substance of future life and that she was destroying future life in fighting with him. I guess the reason he doesn't just absorb those energies ruthlessly is the same reason he doesn't just feed off of any old sentient planet, he serves "cosmic consonance" not himself.
