thor obtained the powergem from drax when he had warrior madness. he was well aware of the power gems capabilities and had vastly more knoledge on how to use it than many others. but he still got his ass frozen. if it actually gave him infinit strengh, he should have jsut busted free.
and again, thor in wm with pg got punked by thanos. thanos got punked by odin and thor with the odin force >= odin.
regular thor is orders above storm.
storm loses hard.
with the pg, storm probably gets to regular thor's level. not a bad level to be as she'd be bad ass, but thor with the odin force is again orders above his regular levels.
thor with odin force wins all day everyday untill the end of time and beyond.

It's a sweeping generalization and an oversimplification.
You cannot put every character under th same umbrella as others. This is what GalacticStorm was getting at.

Storm doesn't have a hammer. She can control the elements with her mind, and with the gem this would be unlimited.

agreed. thor may be violent mad when under the influence of warrior madness, but he was still able to think and plan.
his imaginary friend, the valkerie, even pointed it out to him that that was the power gem, and with that, he could be more powerful, which thor acknowledged. (though since its his imaginary friend, its actually thor doing the thinking as the valkerie is a part of him.
thor in warrior madness was still as inteligent and efficient as his normal self, he's just looney.
