Current format is good, why should we basically copy Evangel's one- since the rules for that were already intetesting and good?
Though "Manager" format for tourneys is good, and I suggest extra addition to the tourney- aka converting points given for the wins into ones used to buy extra characters for your roster (singles). That way you can expand your roster mid-tourney, but the same rules about how much chars you can field remain. That's the only "manager" addition which can be made to current tourney without any major changes of rules.
But that's just a suggestion and I vote for current.

any changes to the rules? is it still different partners every match etc?
Although after answering a few questions from Blair Wind. I have ruled that all pre-made tech being used must be Wonder Woman level as well.
You can build anything you want you though through combining abilities.
Ex)
Say you draft someone who happens to have a Motherbox. You will not be able to use the pre-made motherbox.
On the other hand you can build a motherbox, from scratch, if you think you can.

ah, thats cool...
There's nothing "wrong" with them per se, it's just that we've had to give up on "power level + rules & prep = get to it" and have switched to multiple power levels simultaneously, weird variations of amalgams and solo characters, randomly-generated partner and prep time systems, etc. It's becoming less about debating than it is who can think of the most people or find the best way to exploit the rules.
I just can't wait for the tourney about a year from now where we're augmenting individuals limbs or something. Superman's leg x5 ftw!

So it's fun 😛
While I'm not all that excited amalgams (despite the fun I had in Digi's street-amalgam tourney), there are several things in particular I like about this format.
Rotating characters from our bullpens from match to match will prevent boring repetition of tactics. The round-robin team-mate pairings should (hopefully) encourage all of us to maintain an above average level of civility and sportsmanship, as todays opponent is tomorrow's teammate. The limited post counts should discourage excessive back-and fourth yuh-huh/nuh-uh type arguments and encourage focus on the essentials.

aye, spot on...

Eh, tactics change constantly in any tourney, at least from the smart teams. You don't need a revolving door of partners and participants for that to happen. But it wasn't really a legitimate knock on the tourney, more just poking fun. I'm happy you guys are excited.
