Ok Leo was asking if weapons would be included in the rulings along with tech.

I told they will be

My above post though is basically me trying to tell what my general ruling will be on the matter. If someone has used a particular item as standard equipment and still remains at WW level then I'll generally allow it in.

Only in the most extreme cases may I ban a weapon or tech, like motherboxes and such. Cause WW level is a hard to define somewhat so I will allow some wiggle room.

i was asking more about wonder woman... would she still have her lasso and tiara?

Yes she would. I see no reason why they would be above the caps and give her an unfair advantage.

i've been offline for several days...by the time i came back, the draft was in process

what kind of draft order will we follow? is it gonna be first come first serve all the way along, or reverse order after the sat draft? ie -- last to draft sat picks first sun. or did you have something else in mind?

first round is first come first serve, from there on out. It's:

Round 2: last to draft drafts first, first drafted in first round drafts last

Round 3: Same as round 1

Round 4: Same as Round 2.

etc.

Aren't the draft rounds divided into 2 parts(Solo's and Amalgams)? Does that mean that if in the first round you draft your solo character first, that the next day you automatically draft your amalgam first too?

newjak and I decided that the first week, the first two drafts will be singles, then the next two are doubles, then the last week, single double.

We discussed this stuff, if any of you have any moification ideas, I'm plenty open to it, because the talks on how to draft have varied from lasting 6 weeks, to pming the picks, and this is just what we just happened to agree upon.

Oh it doesn't really matter to me, I was just seeking clarification so I can decide on what draft order I wanted.

Dude...

i'm with goob -- don't much matter to me. so draft first sat, draft last sun then, right? and same next weekend with the amalgams?

sounds fair. 🙂

oh, this may be obvious but i just want to be sure -- if someone drafts someone as a single i presume that character cannot be selected again by anyone for an amalgam? all characters can only be drafted once, right?

and the contention period lasts only from one weekend to the other? ie -- if 75% of people don't vote out someone during the week, then the charatcer is safe? i would strongly suggest this is the case so that arguments -- coughwhiningcough -- doesn't carry over after that first week.

last question -- just to clarify -- a single character cannot be amalgamated with any of our OWN characters, right? we are drafting them with the thought that they will be amalgamated with our mystery partners single pick, correct?

🙂

Would Newjack and/or Cpt. Spaulding care to expand upon the draft process a bit?

I like the slow and deliberate pace you guys have chosen. That gives plenty of time for character's to be vetted by our peers and alternatives chosen if necessary for each round of drafting.

What I'm curious about are issues such as whether multiple variations on certain characters (Ult vs 616, or various Countdown versions for example) can coexist in the tourney? If so could the same player draft more than one, either both singly or with one as part of an amalgam? If so, could they be simultaneously take the field, or only one in play per round?

Similarly, for characters who vary in power over time can we draft specifically the portrayal who fits the power limits (Grey Hulk if fine, WWH is too much), or are we limited only to current versions?

So, we're on and drafts are getting closer. Could we perhaps get an answer on these?

I have some questions on the rules about who can get certain characters.

First, if a character that you want to use in your amalgam is chosen by someone during the single character drafts, can you not use them?

Also if say someone before you in the draft chose an amalgam that involved say WW, SM, MM and you sent in an amalgam of SS, WW, BA. Would your amalgam be allowed?

😗

what time is the draft? and can we use a proxy to pick for us? (i'll be out of town most of saturday)

also: since it is first come first serve then reverse order, i assume that all participants MUST make their picks saturday or forefit the right to take place in the reverse order on sunday? ie--someone can't pick sunday morning (too late) then expect to pick first later on on sunday when the second draft begins.

is that correct?

You are allowed to use different versions of the character, but your limited to scans of that version of the character, otherwise no multiple characters. It all depends if you draft them first. It's like drafting in sports...
