i have no problems with that list except for chuck w/mind gem. that's not standard equipment for him AND the mind gem has been chosen so you can't use it. you'll be stuck with just charlie i think unless there is a rule i'm missing.

this is no rule i am aware of but i will gladly ditch the gem if i can't have it. but after all chuck is the current barer of the mind gem and the fact that it is even legal is kind of weird in the first place.

if i don't get it, i guess i will take a good cerebro unit instead.

i have cerebro, and again, i think it's just 'standard' equipment that the characters get. i'd forgotten that chuck has the gem currently. i dunno, maybe you can have it with him. 😕 what does everyone else think? nj? (and don't say ask red -- let's just make the friggin decision, please . . .) i was under the impression there was no duplication of equipment is all . . .

and we tried to get the gems booted but not enough people voted against them. 😬

Currently I have never seen Xavier use the Mind Gem so I don't think it counts as standard equipment for him. I could be wrong though is there anytime Xavier has actually used the Mind Gem currently where it is proven to be on his person regularly?

wait a sec, isn't there like a portable version of the cerebro helmet and aren't there more than one?

i actually have CEREBRO itself -- the sentient version. chose him as a character. portable cerebros aren't standard equipment is the only problem. i don't really care if you have one, but allowing you to use non-standard gear opens up a lot since no one else was allowed to do that. 😬

what about cerebra? is that also taken/part of cerebro?

you'd have to prove it CAN be taken as a character or that it is somehow 'standard' for chuck to use it.

on a side note, what happenes to goob's team later on in the tourny?
i mean, if i have to SOMEHOW make use of an unfamiliar team don't you think it is logical for someone else to either join and appropriate his team or better yet another filler like myself to pick their own team?

there has to be sombody on kmc that can scramble a team together and join right? after all goob's team is kind of a burden.

If we become 3 battles behind (and like three months as that's what it takes for a battle)... I'm dropping out. Seriously. This is f*cking annoying to the max.

which is exactly why we should either screw the pools or shove yours ahead with just 3 people. each of you would go 2 on 1. bw just did that, i'm certain i'll be doing the same. it's no big deal. just need a better plan and if you lose, who cares? everyone has to deal with it. 😬

nj, red is what is keeping this thing from moving . . .

i love red, the idea for the tourney is sweet, people are -- despite all that's happened -- STILL interested in finishing it. red simply isn't around enough and i really can't see him having a problem with pushing this thing forward anyway we can.

don't mean to sound like i'm beating a dead horse, but seriously, move it along before it dies out completely. consider it practice for running your own tournament . . .

So....I may be in Spain for 6 weeks starting June 19th-July 29th. Which uh...kinda trumps a tournament. ermm
