Gabriel shrugs.
"I don't find anything criminally suspicious about him, if that's what you mean. I don't like him personally because of some of the things he says about CorSec, but other than that, he's just a politician. Power hungry and trying to put himself in a higher position with every passing second."
He certainly doesn't like politicians.
The politicians take a short break as their parties adapt to the news that Garm Bel Iblis is now Senator of Corellia, but the Diktat quickly calls the meeting back into session, simply so she can adjourn it. She dismisses everyone, and she does so urgently.
Lord Fenring eyes you briefly before leaving with the rest of the politicians.
"Master Jedi," Shyla says to you, once the representatives have cleared out. "I have news for you. We have received a transmission from the Cultists. It is addressed to you; their leader wants to speak with you."
"Kardir?" Gabe says. "He speaks with no-one."
"He has apparently made an exception, Officer," the Diktat says sharply. "I suggest we do not keep him waiting if we can to negotiate."
Shyla moves to her podium. A holoprojector lowers from the ceiling, and the image of a man is projected onto the table. He is tall and well-built, with a shaved head and a dark, thick goatee. He wears a blue buttoned shirt, rolled up at the sleeves, with a blast-dampening vest with gray camouflage pants. There is a blaster pistol at his waist.
Most notably, there is a piece of smudged fabric wrapped tightly around his upper right arm. On it is the imagine of a water drop- the Red Rain.
And so you see Kardir, leader of the Red Rain Cultists, for the first time.
"So," he says, heavily, "you are the Jedi they have sent to stop me, hmm? I am not impressed."
"I don't expect them to, Master Jedi. Would you accept a man responsible for butchering your world as leader? Hardly seems reasonable. But then again, I could be unreasonable. You never know with these things.
"So no, we won't stop. The Uhl Chirq Uldyr will continue their tirade against Corellia's Republic-loving government... unless you can convince the Diktat to withdraw from the Senate. Jedi tend to be awfully persuasive, especially when they know that people will die if they do not do something immediately. I have already given you your solution."
"It means you are stubborn, and thousands will die before you understand that what I have said you must do is the only thing you can do."
At that, Kardir cuts the connection.
Gabriel stomps out of the room, cursing under his breath. The Diktat gives you a tired look.
"What now, Master?" Sunda asks. "I'd like to show this Kardir guy what's what if you want to."
