STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Home

"Alright, so if we track the weapons, that should lead us to the terrorists. Sounds good."

"Exactly," Gabriel says.

Because the Jedi are not able to leave their wards, Valru volunteers to investigate himself, taking a pair of CorSec officers with him.

"I'll report in if I find anything," Valru says, making sure his pistol is secure. "Hopefully I do. Is there anything you want me to check for while I am in the colony, Master Jedi?"

"I would keep an eye on the political situation there. If they are originating from this colony, we could put political pressure on the colony to make the attacks stop. Other than that, and the obvious, I think you will be fine."

"I find it unlikely that the Red Rain are striking out of the Garban colony," Valru says. "The Jenet have no interest in our problems, or at least they have not expressed any interest. The Red Rain is a group of Corellia planetarists. If the Jenet have any involvement, it's just underground smuggling to get funds."

"Just be careful," Gabriel says. "Don't piss them off."

"I won't," Valru promises. "I'm off. You'll get my reports."

"I'd better," Gabriel says.

Valru takes his leave, calling for two CorSec boys-in-orange to come with him. Soon after you can see his speeder zipping away from the Capital Building.

"I hope the Jenet are not involved," Gabriel says. "They're not a bad people. Just... simple." He pauses, then looks your way. "Tell me more about your career, son. I feel as if I don't know you."

"I am a Jedi, I have travelled across the galaxy to help those who need it. My journeys have been varied, I have encountered many people including those who have been righteous and moral, and I have peered into a pure heart of evil, and found nothing but hate, and the Dark Side of the Force."

"Dark Side, eh? Has that ever been something you had a problem with?"

Sunda is listening keenly too, after that first line.

"Not personally, but I have crossed blades with individuals who had fallen. They are dangerous types, far worse than any terrorist."
I'll pat Sunda on the head
"We are the champions of Light, we need to combat the Dark wherever it is. And I've done that directly before."

"Impressive," Gabriel says, with a smile. "It's a shame you didn't stay on Corellia. You would have made an excellent officer. Still, I suppose you are still one, in a way. Just with a much larger jurisdiction."

"Who did you fight?" Sunda asks eagerly.

"Galder Starkiller was his name, he was skilled with the blade, and in the moment, he bested me. But his undoing will be his commitment to the Dark Side. I could feel his sanity unraveling even then. But that was a long time ago, and very far away."

Sunda seems disappointed that you lost. You sense it well; his admiration of you takes a sharp downturn for a second.

"How did you get away?" Sunda asks. "And what happened to him?"

"It was an odd fight, there were a group of the Dark jedi, and we were in a crumbling cavern. Galder and I ended up fighting atop a huge rock as the cavern crumbled around us. We had a very close fight, but he gained the upper hand, and I retreated down out of the cavern, as he went to aid his master, a Dark Master of immense power named Kuylen. This all happened while I was traveling with Master Gundark, Xeth, Sky and a group of other Knights."

"Epic!" Sunda says. "Maybe someday I'll help you find this Starkiller loser, Master, and we'll fight him together! He CAN'T win with TWO Knights kicking his butt!"

"Until then, you'll have to have that mentality with the Red Rain," Gabriel says to Sunda, with a wink. "And you've got two Knights and a learner. Even better."

"Exactly!" Sunda waves a thumb at your dad. "Your dad totally gets it. How come HE isn't a Jedi?"

Gabriel laughs. "Not everyone is so lucky... though I think my son would agree that there is no such thing as luck."

"The will of the force Sunda, the will of the force. What would Corellia be without Gabriel? Less effective I'll bet."

"Yeah, I guess," Sunda says.

"There would be others to lead CorSec," Gabriel says. "The real kicker if I were a Jedi would be that your Master would never have been born. A shame that would be!"

"Whoa," Sunda says.

Roan laughs at Sunda's realization.

Gabriel laughs with you, then gets a buzz on his comlink. He listens for a moment then puts it away.

"Alright, I must go guide CorSec efforts in the city," Gabriel says. "I am sure you will have things under control here. Valru will report in as soon as he finds anything, and I will relay that news to you."

Gabriel goes, leaving you to maintain security in the Capital Building.

Alright, well lets get to work.
Roan will first take a walk around the building, checking in with the officers under his command and basically checking up on things.

The CorSec officers under you report that they are experiencing no trouble.

These officers are pretty damn impressive for law enforcement, actually. All of them are low-level Supermooks, with a damage limit of 10 points. However, in addition to their heavy blaster pistols, they also have well-stocked utility belts, blast vests that afford them one point of Armor, and make use of the Gun Schtick "Eye of the Storm."

The automated mini-turrets inside the building are also very handy. They can only stun and have a low base damage, but can rapid fire.

Alright then.
I will finish my rounds and retire up to the top floor.

On the top floor, the Diktat and the Senator have gathered their families for a sort of lackluster meet-n'-greet. Senator Iblis has brought his wife and their youngest boy, no more than a toddler. Diktat Merricope has her husband and three daughters.

You notice quite well that Senator Iblis has two very large pistols strapped to his side that weren't there before.
