Yes, roll your eyes, because you cannot supply the information that he requested.
I don't want to encourage his line of questioning, because there is only has one reason for it. He is fishing for some way to discredit me. This is trolling, and he knows it. He is angry at me and wants to strike out at me. He is not listening to what I have to say; he is just trying to twist thinks to rationalize his behavior.
I appetite what you are doing; I know how you feel about him.

The same could be said of you.

Discredit you why? I am not addressing your on-topic contributions, I am addressing your criticism of off-topic conversation.
This is the situation, and you provide not one iota of evidence to the contrary:
Queeq and I argue, you see it and don't like it and only hold one of the two of us responsible. This is simply not the case?

Agreed.

But what you can not do is define yourself as half mormon and half atheist.
Agreed. I have defined myself as a Mormon with severe doubts stemming from atheism.

Repeatedly I have addressed healthy skepticism. Skepticism is a natural and widely regarded aspect of faith, from Mother Theresa on down to the people she "helped".
Very much agreed.

But to claim that you are atheist one mintue and mormon the next, based clearly on your own claims that you dismiss your religion when it is convient for you, you add credence to neither your claim to be mormon nor your claim to be atheist.
Very much agreed.

That simply is not how religion works.
That is not the intended purpose, but all healthy perspectives should have questioning and doubts. You know this. Just about any leader in any religion knows that that is how it does work with religion.

The over all meaning to your post seems to be that you are confused, as are most human beings; hence the human responce of religion at all.
Very much agreed.

But the consistantly hypocritical nature of your claim of daily family prayer and weekly visits to the church despite your supposed atheist tendancies are simply not comprable.
I am not sure what that last word was supposed to be....but I assume that it was supposed to be "uncompromisable"(And a deletion of the word "not".)
If that is the case, then you are correct. If my religious leaders knew how severe my doubts were, I would probably get into trouble of sorts.
Also, we have discussed this point already...I am allowed to go through the motions until I set my mind straight.

If anything, it sounds like you resort to atheism as a matter of argument and not practice.
Actually just the opposite. One of the main things I love about Mormonism: I can argue about it against the willfully idiotic/ignorant and educate the ignorant. Mormonism is really fun to debate because there are so many things about it. Atheism is my Mormon kryptonite. 😄

I do, however, believe that morality is more than doing the right thing, it's doing the right thing for the right reason.
Doing the right thing for the right reason?
hmmmmm....I want to call that righteousness and not morality...but "right thing" and "right reason" are defined by the morals of a social system anyway......"righteousness" would definitely be defined by this same society.
