Bullshit. Earlier in the comic Waverider easily reached inside of him and drew out the necessary information. When he tries to do it again, he's trying to penerate DD's nervous system and shut it down. Well, if DD doesn't have many organs and is almost solid mass, why should he have a nervous system like a normal being? Waverider tried to do something he should've known wasn't going to work, and got 'feedback' from his own energies that owned him.
Waverider, nor the narrator, nor anyone else in the comic even suggests that it was because DD adapted to it. He's pretty much just got natural resistances against a shitload of things. In Doomsday Wars, which is basically H/P DD's body and Braniac's mind, J'onn's intangibility powers don't work on him, either. Not because he adapted - just because.

I wasn't referencing Infinity Gauntlet when talking about Thor. He's had Thor's hammer bounce off of his back before, and even stopped it in mid-throw before. The whole IG incident where Thanos was using the PG was clearly PIS. And when he's dropped from behind, he's running forward and obviously off-balance.
And Thanos can BFR with pretty much one finger, sitting down. No way in hell HP DD wins this. If he went toe-to-toe physically, Thanos would lose. Eventually. It wouldn't be one-sided, though.

Are you sure you even read the story, and I find it funny how selective you are when discounting on-panel events. So because in you're opinion thor knocking Thanos with a swing of his hammer is PIS it suddenly isn't valid lol. DD stomps this in any situation...and physically Thanos gets destroyed.

It was a Thanos clone who stopped it mid throw, the very same Thanos clone Thor defeated...

This wasnt a thanos clone. He was the real deal, not to mention that the thanos clone thor defeated he did while amped anyways.

If I'm not mistaken Thanos stopped Thor's hammer in tears of the fallen saga, the same saga where Thor defeated him. Like I said earlier, Thanos also had a powerup at the time. It's odd how often Thor slaps around Thanos isn't it? Thanos floored him with some energy blasts once. The other times Thor dropped him easily.
