The Great Hunt - RP Thread

Coryn shifted his position on the tree branch, to something more comfortable, and then heard Karkarvos connect with his own mind.

"Hurt badly? Neigh, I managed to get away from it before it could do any severe damage... It knicked my leg with one of it's claws, though, while I was jumping."

After Coryn said that, he let his claws slide out, and for a moment blocked the communications from the three Jedi, and sliced his leg. Pain shot through him, but he dulled it down through the force, and opened the connection again.
The blood oozed down to the ground below, and the Tarentatek went wild again, bashing the tree and roaring, which shook the forest and disturbed some of the more docile creatures, which scurried away at the noise.
Come on... 'Help' me, already.

(While I'm thinking about it, REX, how do you get the words around your signature to do the color effect?)

Denzral placed a hand on Karkarvos's shoulder. "Don't trust what he is telling you. His mind may seem clear, but he was waching us earlier, and when I touched his mind , he was utterly insane, dark almost." Denzral looked up when he heard the Terentatek roar again. "He wants us to go... think about it: A Jedi would not risk his fellow Jedi if he was in a vein situation, even if he was wounded. No be weary, he is lying." Denzral whispered. Blocking any sound from leaving the clearing, except in scarmbled form.

david found his connection with coryn. he watched as coryn sat at the tree unharmed. a small flash obscuring his vision, and suddenly coryn had a gash in his leg. he could also sense coryns claws retracting. "why would he want it to kill us? we are his friends and it would do him no good.

*I'M BACK! 😄 Okay, I'm with you guys as well*

"Hmm... I believe you speak the truth, Denzral. He is lying." Master Jel-Kor said.

(I'm looking forward to some sabre combat.)

*Oh, don't worry, we'll have more lightsaber combat. There are plenty of planets to travel to. I can at least assure you we'll have saber combat in Korriban*

((May I suggest the depths of Corusant. I mean the under-city. The waste-lands. http://www.geocities.com/piqsid/stories.html read near the end of a story called Return of the Empire for desriptions of the depths of Coruscant. Chapter 20. And Quiet Before the Storm. Chapter 1. Part 3. 'Fear leads to anger...' begins it that story segment. You will love every minute of the whole story if you start with The Dark Ring and on to The New Rebellion. I give the author: 10/10, 100%, Excellent. Brilliant.))

*Actually, that would be a good idea, since I'm taking Onderon off the planets list*

(Cool! Glad I am of some use.)

An evil, cynical laughter rang throughout the forest, filling every empty space with it's insanity.

"Hahaha! So you know then..." Coryn spoke from the tree, loud enough for the Jedi to hear. He stood on the branch, and jumped to the branch nearest him on the next tree, and then jumped down, landing softly in front of the Jedi.

"Liar liar, pants on fire." Coryn toyed, his tone full of his new found insanity.
Coryn reached towards his belt, and drew his saber hilt. He was about five paces away from the four Jedi, and there wasn't a lot of room to use the terrain, so Coryn ignited his saber, and pointed the green blade away fom his body, shifting his grip to accomodate the Shien form.

"Has it come to this," Coryn implied, meaning did they really have to fight.
"Or are we to be... 'Diplomatic'?"

edit

Master Jel-Kor stared at the Selkath for a moment. He did not ignite his saber.

"I do not wish to fight you, Coryn," He said, calmly. "I always knew your loyalty to the Order was to be questionned, but I never thought it would get to this. You are a Jedi. Jedi shouldn't act like this. Remember all the good things you have done! The purpose of this mission! We save lives, Coryn, we don't destroy them. And I believe you still have a chance to come back. There is still some light in you,"

((once again i bring up the question. why is coryn acting like that. nothing would be gained by killing other jedi.))

david opened his eyes and looked behind coryn. he backed away slowly at first, then burst into a full sprint back to the lift. he yelped back to the others, "TERENTATEK!"

Master Jel-Kor turned up to see the massive beast, widening his eyes. 'More a monster than a beast...' He thought. He started going back slowly, then he suddenly Force-pushed the monster as hard as he could. It was sent away some meters, giving everyone else an opportunity to escape.

Denzral immediately Force leaped over the charging Tarentatek and landed on a tree branch above. "The lift is too slow..." He snorted and leaped to another branch across the small space. He looked down.

"Flee! Flee for your lives Jedi!"

Coryn turned to face the beast, switching his stance to that of Niman. He lurched foward, and struck the beast on it's arm, but was hit in the back by the beast's other arm, and fell to the ground. Coryn's saber slid a distance away, and deactivated. Coryn lept up, and fled, running into the trees, his form melding into the darkness.

----------------------------

After about fifteen minutes of running, Coryn found himself near the Landing Pad he'd first arrived on. It was high up in the trees, but with a focused jump, he'd be up there in a second. But Coryn hesitated...

"...There is still some light in you."

Was Jel-Kor right? Could Coryn be saved from his downfall?

No... I can see the look on the Order's face... That 'I told you so' smirk. They'd Exile me, no question... But perhaps I've exiled myself. I have no weapon... I have to leave Kashyyyk.

Coryn's eyes traveled up, through the wood that built the landing pad, and found that a trader had landed, and boasted a decent sized ship. Coryn lept up, and landed quietly on the Pad behind the freighter. The trader himself was just then walking back to the ship, checking his stock list, unaware that there was a mad Jedi ready to board his vessel(In a non-sexual way). Coryn cloaked himself, masked his footsteps with the Force, and snuck his way onboard the ship, and soon he was in the supply cabin, on his way to who-knows-where.

Master Jel-Kor Force-jumped to another tree, nearby to the one in which Denzral was on. He turned to look at him.

He sighed. "Well, isn't this fun?" He said, a smile on his face. Master Jel-Kor was known for always easing off the pressure in difficult situations such as this. Even though he was conscious of the danger they were in, he never let any mission, easy or deadly, change his sarcastic ways.

"Never been happier." Denzral stated as he caught Coryn's path. "I'm going to try and stop him." With a concentrated burst he leapt up high into the trees, again, until he reached the Wookie platforms above. He then Force ran in large leaps forward for the landing pad sensing Coryn's plan, and finding the traders ship in the Force.

He arrived just as it was rising on repulsors.

Master Jel-Kor was figuring out a way to stop the huge monster. Then, the idea came to him: there were several stones and smaller trees around them. Someone needed to be the bait, and when the monster started running towards him, the other two would try and bring down small trees or big stones to crush the monster. If they failed to crush the monster, they would at least be able block his way out of the small area, and it would be trapped. There was nothing to lose in this one.

Coryn sensed Denzral outside of the ship, and snuck his way back to the door, and let it down. He uncloaked himself, and smiled down to the Jedi.

"I'll see you soon, friend!"
Coryn tilted his head, and pulled out a light repeating blaster he found on the ship, and let loose a barrage of rounds at Denzral, until the ship was high enough to keep out of the Jedi's reach.

"So long!" Coryn waved, and cloaked himself, heading back into the ship.
