They weren't just standing around. Both parties arrived at the open field at the same time. They came to the field to get some exercise and toss the football, we came for the same. I could also have run into a couple of white ex-cons and that would have been just fine as well. I thought you were hung up on the fact that they were black AND ex-cons. (Meaning, it is not likely that they would want to talk to a couple of white boys.)

That the post in question is a response to your statement about your high school bench press record is not in question. The point of my post is twofold:

Moreover, it is you who posted pictures of himself without a shirt on in response to a challenge of his physical appearance; if one of us is both shallow and superficial, it is you.
Furthermore, I do care about appearances—I do not pretend not to—but caring about appearances does not exclude me from also caring about other qualities as well. I do not pretend to only care about the insides of people because I believe it makes me a better person than one who does not—and that is the difference between you and I.
