piercings is made of metal, you are, at least where I come from that any thing made of metal will set of the detector.

Point is that one piece of metal can hide another piece, to be sure you have to remove the source that they belived set it of to be sure there werent any more

What is she going to hide in her nipples/boobs that could threaten the plane?

B-because she might hide a gun under the skin of her breast?
no just because that little piece of metal might prevent the detector to detect an alleged weapon that doesnt have a lot of metal in it yeat leathal as hell, you should know it is from your neighbour country (your country of origin) and its an awesome piece of equipment

One that could be hidden within a breast as the surface would have been expected by the female security personal as offered by the woman in question?

Have you really read the article, just wondering cause you portray a severe lack of understanding of it.

no it prevent detetection of other pieces same material regardless

my understanding of it is fine the, just because i dont have sympathy with the woman dont mean I dont understand it. You act as it just one way to side with this story of this unfortunate women`s story, well so if we are into lack certain things maybe a realty tune up would do for you Fritz to make up lack of certain things

That's just ****ing retarded. The next thing you know, you won't be allowed to carry your ex-girlfriends fingernails around in a nylon sack. For shame.

😂

How? How would a bare inspected breast be able to hide a potentially harmful weapon unde one nipple piercing?

It is just one way. You don't have to feel sympathy. But if the article is accurate you have to accept that they overstepped their boundaries and exposed her to increased embarrassment and shame for no apparent reason. It's nothing you can really argue about. If you deny it that's your choice, but you are factually wrong. Their ****ing handbook itself says so. So, sorry if I am going to state that you are full of crap playing the tough "I don't feel sorry for the woman" badass, it doesn't change the facts, "Olaf".

because the detection would senter on the breast in stead of well other places on the body , they would focus on that area cause thats where it beeped, today certain weapons hardly give a beep, placed right a real beep draw the atention away

their means of need to detect responded, who cares if she was deposed to personal embarrassment, fact is certain object will respond to detectors. If persons are so ****ing stupid and not taking that into consideration its upon them not the one who try to prevent certain actions that people can have a safe flight, if they overstep these small self explained measures they have only themselves to blaim, oh and Olaf is Swedish by the way, quite not where Im from ...........Kraut

Funny how their security policies disagree with your evaluation.

The female TSA agent used a handheld detector that beeped when it passed in front of Hamlin's chest, the Dallas-area resident said.

Hamlin said she could not remove them and asked whether she could instead display her pierced breasts in private to the female agent. But several other male officers told her she could not board her flight until the jewelry was out, she said.

"If you are selected for additional screening, you may ask to remove your body piercing in private as an alternative to a pat-down search," the site says.

Hamlin would have accepted a "pat-down" had it been offered, Allred said.

Not everything made of metal will set off sensors. I always wear earrings, regularly wear a necklace, and my old glasses were wire-framed. None of which ever set off a single sensor.

Nipple rings are gross anyway. hanuts

Re: Woman ordered to remove nipple rings to board plane.

This isn't as funny as the guy that was jacking off on a plane.

yeah and we have had kings called Oscar as well and wikipedia doesnt even agree on how his name was spelt "and the legitimacy of his claim to the throne. Snorri Sturluson claims in Olav Tryggvson's saga " ending with a v or f? In our language which is very similare to the Danish and Swedish yet different, in the names like this one we have different spelling of it.

dont confuse your ways with mine

i didnt find it funny at all. i mean, i didnt post this to be pissy and whiney and say "oh the poor poor woman" etc. just to point out an example of the erosion of our civil liberties, and how what we demanded in terms of airline security and what we got are two different things. (however if you want comedy, picture bin laden dragging a 500 pound suitcase by in the background as these idiot thugs are preoccupied harassing an obviously harmless person.)

And that changes that you are called Olaf, how?
pronunciation of the letter, quite distinguish difference between v and f in our language, the Swedes adapted Olaf, Norwegian and Danes went with Olav

Fair enough, Olav, then. And it was still out of line and unreasonably cruel.

well they just handled according to what they were suposed to do, a change in the regulation and such maybe, but as of now. Well sorry to say they did as instructed to do
