Galactus invades Dr Who

Well he's dealt with a demon with universal reality warping abilities, he's dealt with all sorts of elder gods with Odin + types of feats. The thing about the character is that he adjusts dependng on the threat. He usually has just as much trouble fighting a street level person as fighting an elder god. The essence of his character is that given a bit of time he will win. The thing is that most of the time you don't see him go for lethal measures because he prefers to resolve things peacefully. If the Doctor ever gets bloodlusted, you're basically F*****. He's has the Reed Richards type intelligence of being able to make plot device machines to save the day, along with resources that dwarf anything that Richards could ever get his hands on. Combine those two and I have to say that he can take out galactus, especially if we're talking the version we nomrally see in comics.
Now a weakened one, sure, but FP? No way. FP can absorb the Omniverse, and if Big G just goes for the kill, WILL win.

I'd like to see some proof of this supposed ability to absorb the omniverse.

To be honest though, according to the rules of this thread the Doctor can win very easily, all he needs to do is just send galactus back where he came from, which would be completely in character for him and which he can do quite easily.

Good to see you back Akuki.

Galactus' shit is so complex that Reed can't even begin to comprehend it. Who isn't smarter than Galan.

1. Don't have t3h scans.

2. And Galactus could just eat Who's verse. Go figure.

Galactus will make Dr. Who his herald.

Thanks, Llagrok, I'm coming back for the tournament, so I'll be on a lot more. I have to say that I think The Doctor can win this though. In all likelyhood he'd just BFR him back Marvel 616, or just use hit and run tactics to wear down galactus and keep him away from foodsources long enough to get him to a power level the doctor can deal with him at.

The Doctor with prep is the equivalent of the batkick. It cannot be defeated, don't ask why, it just can't.

1. Well...what powerlevel is G starting at is my question?

2. The Batkick has made Solomon Grundy gasp, broken Darkseid's nose, and made the Spectre its b!tch, they cannot be compared.

Honestly that's pretty much the basis of the character. He's even more of a plot device than Reed or Thanos could ever hope to be. As for people's questions about how he could deal with Galactus, he has a couple of options.
1. He can use the Tardis to delete him from ever existing, which is something he's done before to powerful opponents.
2. He can forcibly transfer him to another universe. In the Doctor's brief Marvel comics run he was able to forcibly transfer a threat from his universe to marvel 616.
3. If a person has just completed transit into his universe, he can effectively create a black hole type effect drawing them back into their universe.
4. I have no clue what else he would do, remember this guy is plain and simple a plot device that puts Reed Richards to shame. However if you look at his track record and the resources he has available, he can definitely win this.

to be fair:

1. Tardis vs. UN?
2. G can do the same to the dr., though for argument's sake G has the capability of inter and extra-dimensional travel....going to another universe is literally a 5 block walk
3. Same as number 2...Galactus' tech can extricate people from black holes that lead to alternate dimensions (i.e., the realm of the vishanti, lord chaos, and master order)
4. I don't get all the comparisons to reed...Galactus' intelligence>>>>>>>>>>>reed's
Galactus' tech >>>>>>>>>>>>>>reed's

If you bring up defeats...when has reed defeated galactus when the plot device (galactus' hunger) is meant to make the character fallible? reed uses G's machines and tech against him, that's all he can do. That of course is CIS and PIS on the part of Galactus.

If we take G to the best of his abilities, which are default forum rules, he does not ever lose to his own tech, and he does not ever lose to reed.

the doctor is a different situation but the idea is the same..."plot device intelligence" would not work.

the doctor is the grandmanipulator......

he will get galactus to destroy himself

the same way that he god davros to destroy skaro

and destroyed an entire cyber invastion fleet.

you forget that the doctor is a scientifc genius telepathic

look how he was able to defeat a being like fenric for instance?

i am sure that the doctor can create an ultimate nullifer

1- Galactus isn't a moron.
2- Galactus destroy plantets in 5 minuts for breakfest, with is energy convertor.
3- Galactus is leeeeeagues above anyone, even the great Thanos, when it comes to science. Hell, Thanos is leeeeeeagues above anyone from earth in science.

And maybe The Doctor defeated "the devil". But Mephisto is "the devil", in marvel. He's know like it. He's the one who go cath soul. And he's the one who get owned while Galactus was this close to eat Hell.

Galactus has controlled time as well...

And could just punch the Doctor's head off. Or blow his ship up.

I'd like to see some proof of this supposed ability to absorb the omniverse.

That future-self of Galactus 616 in the Black Celestial arc,
was an OMNIVERSAL threat,
not just a threat in fact,
indeed,
Galactus was beginning the process of absorbing the Omniverse entire:

........................................................................................................

These scans are from Avengers v1. #296 - 297

The beginning of the whole Black Celestial drama.
........................................................................................................

Where Galactus was being prepped to begin absorbing the ENTIRE OMNIVERSE,

and the EDITOR of this arc was MARK GRUENWALD ...

........................................................................................................

"Celestial renegade (Taimut) constructed a weapon (Galactus)
mighty enough to threaten the ENTIRE Space-Time structure of the OMNIVERSE"

........................................................................................................

Nebula had control of some avengers and was planning on taking Galactus' power:

"I have learned about the great weapon (Galactus) in Time"

........................................................................................................

MAKE NO MISTAKE!

The weapon is Galactus! (FF#341)

"Galactus Himself is the WEAPON"

........................................................................................................

A mini artistic depiction of the actual OMNIVERSE:

"Suffice to say that the weapon is Supreme (Galactus)
the OMNIVERSE is vast beyond imagining"

........................................................................................................

(Notice at the bottom of the scan, who the EDITOR is) 🙂

"The greatest weapon (Galactus) in the OMNIVERSE is nearly mine"

........................................................................................................

Is MARK GRUENWALD (the Editor) allowing hyperbole? ermmno

........................................................................................................

This (FF#337-341) is from the actual continuation of the arc above:

Galactus was in the process of absorbing "ALL EXISTENCE"

"Galactus who's busy wolfin' (eating) down ALL of TIME and SPACE"

............................................................................................

"The time will come soon when ALL the Energy in the UNIVERSE,
through out it's HISTORY will NOT be SUFFICIENT to feed him
"

The History of the Marvel Universe ... as in the expanded OMNIVERSE!!!

........................................................................................................

Galactus was in the process of absorbing "ALL EXISTENCE" (Omniverse)

Confirmed by the Guardians of the Galaxy in yet another separate arc:

RESPECT Galactus yall! (evidently a potential Omniversal power)

Thank you Mr Master.

Thank you Mr Master.

Anytime.

A little food for thought I just remembered too,
it appears that the Dr Who Multiverse,
is connected to the Marvel Reality and BBC (Who ownership) seems to concede.

The Gallifreyan Multiverse, the future year of 8162,
is a future for the Doctor Who series.
Generally, the Doctor mostly travels to eras within his own universe or multiverse,
not other universes or multiverses.
But 8162 is literally Earth-8162 (a Marvel Alternate Universe) 🙂

Here are some examples that seem to cement this as fact,
they actually illustrate the connection between the Dr Who-verse & Marvel's continuum,
by depicting, "Who-verse items" (including Tardis) on panel (NOT cross-overs) withIN Marvel.
...................................................................................................................

Here (Excalibur #25)

Alistaire actually recalls a conversation with someone (probably Who himself)
from Gallifrey about "Trans-Temporal Dynamics"

...................................................................................................................

Here (Excalibur #14)

Impossible Man actually created a "Dalek" (known enemies of Who)

Here's what a Dalek from the actual Dr Who show looks like for comparison:

...................................................................................................................

This is the most concrete evidence: (FF - #9)

Reed has access to Dr Who's primary gadget (Tardis itself)

"Of all the doorways in the World,
why settle on an antique call box
?

I mean, it's not Reed's fault,
since he got it second-hand
from that wierd "Doctor" friend of his
"
...................................................................................................................

Evidently the inside is a freakin near-infinite area of space ... impressive.
But really, it's more of a nexus point I discovered than an actual universe/reality.

Anywho,
if the Gallifreyan Multiverse is indeed connected to Marvel's cosmology,
then it is susceptible to being influenced by Galactus's function/importance to All Reality.

OMG...you have made me so happy...I spent hours on another forum arguing that PR Beyonder was more powerful than the character "Bad Wolf", and with this knowledge, it is undeniable.

BTW Mr. Master, do you know what comics the Doctor appears in? I've been wanting to make a respect thread for him for a very long time, so it'd be great if you knew some. Oh and if anyone bans any of my characters from this tourney I am so going to draft the Doctor 🙂
I'm not surprised he's linked though, he had his own series from Marvel for awhile which I have.

Didn't want to spam but this Dalek song is awesome and funny. A must check out!!!!

If we look at this like a Tv-serie then ofcourse the Doctor (the Good Guy) will win against the Bad guy (Galactus) either he will know that Galactus requires Biosphere energy to live ore Rose will open the Tardis and, imo, by some miracles defeat Galactus. Akuki has already mentioned many ways for The Doctor to defeat Galactus but imo it all depends on the scenario to be in character.

Now outside in a straight up match the Doctor will first have to locate Galactus when he enteres the Doctors Universe, he doesn't have timetravel at his disposal, his quest is to stop Galactus before Galactus beings to devourer Planets in the Doctors galaxy and seeing how fast Galactus can eat a Planet if he wants to then No the Doctor cannot stop, Galactus has shown Cosmic Awarness that at the very least go to Solarsystem level, how is the Doctor even going to get close to him?? Galactus will know his every move beforehand.

I agree. This is putting someone who as part of his character eventually wins every time against all the odds, even against cosmic level & godlike beings, up against a character who (due to some unfortunate writing/PIS IMO) winds up being defeated, tricked, or thwarted by lesser beings in many or most of his appearances.

BFR back to the MU is the most likely since the Doctor is an expert on dimensional travel and has the tech at hand, or he might even duplicate the device Reed used to turn Galactus back into Galan. Worst case scenario the Whoniverse could wind up a planet or two short first.
