I don't mean you personally necessarily, I mean the human race as a whole. It will happen eventually if we don't change things. If you just want to care about yourself and nobody who comes after you then be fine be selfish.

The problem is that the environmental approach is likely more harmful than anything global warming will do to us. If your ideas would safe humanity and make everything great I would participate. But it is just a feel good about yourself while buying into a huge marketing machinery and harming the whole world economically while using flawed science thing, so I am not into it.

I'm sorry, I don't understand. How is the environmental approach hurting the environment more than it is helping it?

For one "the environment" is a broad concept. You want to preserve the one you know now. Second, it's not what I said, I said the environmental approach hurts humans more than the predicted effects would. Obviously things like polluting ground water or radiation poisoning has to be limited. But the global warming scare is ridiculous. It is not proven to be nearly as harmful or nearly as effected by humans as politicians and journalists make us believe. And it is clear why they lie, too. They make money off of people like you.

And the most ridiculous thing is that most of the people subscribing to the global warming shit also hate nuclear power...the clear solution to the fake problem.

Well if global warming continues, eventually Antarctica will melt and do you know how f*cked up things would be then?

Actually antarctica didn't increase in warmth so far. New studies indicate that the oceans actually get colder. It is not beyond a natural cycle of warming and cooling so far. And that humans are responsible and how much they are is hardly proven and very debatable.

As for "how ****ed up things would be then"...the answer is "a little". It's not armageddon whatever way you look at it. I would seriously advise you to get educated about the issue. Especially the other side that never really is heard in our societies nowadays.

If Antarctica melted, the world would be f*cked up. "A little"? So many Countries and states would be completely underwater. The world is overpopulated as it is.

Most people believe in global warming because scientists say it's happening. Very few people say it's not happening. If you're so much smarter than all those scientists, why don't you go let the whole world know what's really going on?

I think you're thinking of the Arctic, not Antarctica (which is actually a desert).

And I really doubt that turning off a light for an hour will make any real impact on anything.

Did you think that one through?

No, most people believe in global warming because journalists and politicians keep banging it into everyone's mind. Science is debating. Politicians are closing the case. Also, I don't have to, other people did, you can do your research yourself.

Environmentalist movements are perfect for mindless followers. You can feel good about yourself, meet with similar minded people and do not think for yourself a second.

...what the hell are you talking about?

He's talking about if Antarctica melted. For starters, a landmass cannot melt. Secondly, there's so little precipitation there (hence it being a desert - it's actually too cold for snow down there) that I don't think it'd make much of a difference.

Now, the Arctic Ocean which is nothing but ice, on the other hand...if that were to melt, then yes, it'd be a disaster.

I think he means the ice on antarctica. Which, if it melted would certainly be much worse than the arctic melting, as the arctic is basically an icecube and won't increase the water by a milimeter. Except for Greenland now, that might be a problem.

If the Arctic were to melt, though, that water would have to go somewhere. Also, if the Earth were to warm up enough for that to happen then we'd be having other problems already as it is, so a lot of issues would be compounded. And there is land far up north that is within the Arctic circle other than simply Greenland 😛

If that's what he meant, then yes, that is true. Though there's also less land in the Southern hemisphere so it'd take longer for the trouble it'd cause to really spread. It'd suck if you lived in Australia or New Zealand, though ermm

I just don't care about anyone in the future. Look out for yourself.

True. The water that's just floating on the ocean would not rise the sea level though...has to do with some shit that weirdo Pythagoras found I hear. True about the other land though. And we might very well have problems, it's pretty much undeniable that the earth is at least partly warming. What might be discussed is human involvement in that and estimated effects. A fact that hardcore eco-weirdos fail to acknowledge completely.

Well, it sucks to live in Australia or New Zealand anyways so that doesn't matter.

You despise facts and knowledge I assume
