Wheres the god damn hockey?

Red Wings have to many weapons, their big name players are barely scoring or are injured, and their still winning. Either way it will be a great series. The Penguins will need others to score besides Crosby and Malkin.

For those that watched on TV, I was on the opposite side, so these are my "reverse angle" views.

those are nice pics. I like this one a lot. You couldn't have gone to a better game in that series. I am definitely jealous. Thanks for the pics. I like one of the tailgater, even though it's blasphemous 😉

Dude, you must not have watched any Penguin games this year. The penguins arsenal is highly volatile and fully loaded. It isn't just Malkin and Crosby putting points on the board. Granted, Crosby has been involved a majority of the points in these playoffs, but thats just because he is THAT good. If this were last year, i would have to agree with you, for the most part, that Red Wings gunners are more consistent and dangerous but the Penguins have grown so much over the past few months. They still have a third line that no one has been able to shut down. A third line that constantly puts points on the board. That is saying something.

This isn't me being biased but pound for pound, the Penguins are a much more talented team than the Wings. The only problem is that the Red Wings build their team each year for the playoffs. Most all of their players have so much experience. You will never see the Red Wings losing composure and confidence like the Canes did. Honestly, i think the biggest variable is Fleury. Fleury is a great goalie and i think he will stand amongst the greats one day, but he loses his confidence far to easily. As long as Fleury is on point i don't think the Pens will have anything to worry about. Lets just hope the series doesnt start out with TWO SHUT OUTS again. Unless it's against the Wings. I think the Pens were a better team than the Wings even last year but two shut outs...,yeah that's enough to shake even the most hardened teams composure. From game 3 on, though, the Pens stood strong.

Don't mean to rant but i'm just so excited 😂

i concur

it takes a while for them to loose it really i mean when the Caps came back they didnt stop fighting at all they simply took them to the cleaners in Game 7
sure it took 7 games to put Obitchkin in his place but thats cause of Gonch getting taken out so early IMO

Oh Lord, don't make injury excuses, because that's exactly what we're going to hear if the Wings don't win the Cup.

whos all even out on the Wings?

I don't mind making injury excuses if a player like Crosby, Malkin or Fluery go down.

Same with Detriot if Datsyuk, Zetterberg or Lidstrom go down.

did you just say Obitchkin? 😂 😆 That is quite possibly the best thing i've heard in days, thanks. Yeah, i think Bylsma deserves a lot of credit for the caps victory. I can't be sure, because i'm not on the benches, but it never looked like Obitchkin was being double covered and that, i'm sure did a lot for Defenses' morale.

I'm shocked that no one even brought up how the Pens were able to survey and ultimately breakdown two great goalies.

No garbage goals this year. Those kids are learning how to pass and shoot 😂

During the 4-1 win the other night, I noticed in the third period that the defense was absolutely suffocating. No Cane was getting through. It finally came down to Eric Staal practically doing Red Rover maneuvers just to try to get within 10 feet of the net. That kind of defense was not there last year for the Pens.

Hopefully its there for the Cup series.

So is everyone hoping to see the penguins demolish the red wings in 4 or 5 games or would everyone rather see Game 7 overtime?

I would rather see a Penguins win.

I couldn't care less how many games it is.

i agree with Smasandian as long as we win ill be happy
suer itd be interesting to see a Game 7 OT but as long as i get to see Sid hoist that cup ill be happy

so what happened to the pens?

The spastic boards beat them. Two of the goals scored against them were fluky and odd.

Still, Detroit looked really good. Pens are gonna have to step it up big time or else they're going to lose the series, badly.

Yeah, those first two goals by the Wings were garbage. There wasn't much Fluery could do about them. I don't want to take anything away from the Wings though because during both goals they made the effort at getting the puck towards the net. If they didn't make those efforts they wouldn't have gotten those lucky bounces. The Pens played good Hockey though. It was an even played game and i would even say the Pens had the better chances. I think they'll be able to shake that loss. Their going to have to fix their penalty kill though

i wonder how you say '****' in French...mmm

Before the second goal from Detroit, Pittsburgh had them, but Osgood was good and the Penguins couldn't score.

holy ****in shit
Malkin vs Zetterberg [with the ref in the middle]

mega win caw00t

it doesn't look good for the Pens..

i hope they can come back, but i'm not sure they can
