Wheres the god damn hockey?

Yeah, it's easy to complain about it.

But sometimes it warranted. Like a couple of years ago, the Phoenix Suns were playing against the Spurs and it was just bad, like the ref was actually caught for gambling on the game bad.

plus dont forget games one and two the refs would blow the whistle as soon as the puck got anywhere near Osgood but waited 6 years and a day to stop the play when Fleury got it

I think Hockey is the hardest game to officiate and the penalties called are usually always justified and if they're not it's usually still a close call. I hate to complain about the Refs in the NHL because they're generally really good but there are major inconsistentcies in playoff officiating. The Refs are more lenient and try to keep the game moving at a steady pace by not calling everything but this always results in one team getting the short end of the stick.

the only time the refs arent unfair is when theyre calling a Crosby penalty
im not just saying it cause hes our Captain oh Captain
if you look at things, half the time he doesnt really do the action but still takes the blame for it
same with Gino sometimes

I actually think basketball is harder than hockey. Too many judgment calls.

In hockey, a trip is a trip. But in basketball, figuring out a charge is alot harder.

what?
is no one gonna respond to me anymore or am i gonna have to rant to myself from now on? crackers

Really? The umpire is RIGHT behind the catcher and the other officials are well placed around the field. I can see what you mean by judgement calls regarding the Umpire. An 80 mile an hour pitch could be hard to judge but in Hockey, the play is constantly moving at high speeds and the Refs have to move with the the play.

I'm not ignoring you. You just speak your point so well, there isn't much for me to elaborate on, plus, i'm always going to agree with you 😉 I have been meaning to comment on that greatest sig and avatar though, they are aces 😂

What are you doing on Friday? Since NBC is a bunch of douches i guess we can't go down to the arena 😠 I think i'm going to go down to Pipers. at least that way i can be on the Southside. I wonder if the Southside is going to be as lively after the Pens win the Cup as it was when the Steelers won the Bowel. It goddamn better be.

Did you mean "Are Unfair?" Otherwise, that would mean they were unfair the other 95% of the time Crosby doesn't have the puck.

Did everybody have their coffee this morning?

Yeah, basketball.

In hockey, you usually see the penalty aftermath. In basketball, a foul can easily affect the shot but there the player doesn't fall down or anything like that so you have to see if there was contact, and if the contact was warrented, or it affect the shot.

To keep up with soccer and hockey, maybe basketball players should start acting like they got hit by a Mack truck every time they get hit with by a drop of sweat.

Are you saying hockey players are comparable to soccer?

Or not as tough as football players?

There might be a few bad cases in hockey of players who dive, but the majority of the players when they fall, they fall. Also, it's alot easier to fall on ice than grass. And hockey players are just as tough as football players in their respective sports.

I hear this all the time and i was just wondering since when did people start to think hockey players take dives???

since Sid made the Pens

Yeah when I was at the Canes/Pens game a few weeks ago, fans couldn't think of anything to say about Crosby so they'd just yell "Diver" as Crosby skated around 4 opposing players.

And Smas, I should have just left it at Soccer. Now that's some serious diving.

5-2 Wings

Prophecy^ Not an opinion

no comment 🙄

Ah okay, that's better.

Diving in hockey has been around for years. There's a penalty for it too. It's just an easy accusation to make for opposing fans because well, it's looked down upon when you dive. (Even though the teams like those power plays).
