Boston just beat Philly in OT
schweet beans

well, fina-****in'-ly
ending a 5 game losing streak is always good
this however, was a bit of deja vous
we had a 5 game losing streak last year, same dates[Dec 27- Jan 5] and we ended both against the same team :blinks:

is anyone gonna watch the Winter Olympics?

Probably.

Canada vs Russia final, hopefully.

So Kovalchuk got traded to the Devils today. I was hoping he'd go to the Kings.

Thrashers got ripped off bad in the trade. Devils though, they're going to be dangerous come the playoffs.

They did get ripped off.

I'm surprised no other team offered more.

Could be the case that Kovalchuk wanted a huge payday and most teams couldn't afford the extra huge salary.

I heard Kovalchuk was asking for 10 million which is pretty hefty.

I have a feeling the Devils aren't going to keep him beyond this year, sounds like it may be a rental with how little they gave up.

I plan on watching some. I prefer the, Winter games to the Summer games. As much as i like watching the track and field events it's hard for me to stay interested. I plan on watching the, Speed Skating, Ice Hockey and free style skiing. How about you?

Can you believe i scored free Pens tickets for tonights game but have no means of transportation? I'm sooo pissed lol. They are great seats as well but the busses stopped early tonight and the roads are far to messy to risk driving.

Yeah, I heard that too.

In my opinion, only three players are worth that much. Malkin, Crosby and Ovechkin.

*overflows jealousy8
no. effin. way. oh

yeah, i like the winter games better compared to the summer games
ill be watching most of it i think
i like just about everything except the skiing comps

That Caps game on Sunday was downright embarrassing. When the Pens were up 4-2, I had this strong feeling that they were going to lose, or at least go 4-4 into OT. And I'm an optimist, generally.

U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!

Man, the game tonight with America vs Canada was amazing.

Yeah, it was a fantastic game. One of the best I'v seen in along time.

But ****, I hate to say, and I hate when other people say it but Canada should of won.

Goes to show that experience doesn't mean shit anymore. The three worst players on Canada's team was Pronger, Brouduer and Boyle.

What's funny is there was a doc about the choosing of the Canadian hockey team and they big part was the discussion on who was the last defenseman. It was between Boumeester (SP?) and Doughty. One of the guy's said, "well I think both would be great additions, but we need only one". Steve Yzerman goes "well, let discuss, no player is taboo". The guy goes, "well about Pronger, he hasn't been playing well and is old". The rest go, "Prongs will be there, he'll be ready, he has to be there".

And guess what? Pronger plays like shit while Doughty has been amazing.

Yeah, I'm proud of Doughty. He's had an all around amazing season and he's been outstanding in the Olympics.

But you're right, Canada definitely should have won. They outplayed the US pretty much the whole game. Ryan Miller more or less won the game for America.

Jaromir Jager wants to return to the NHL hmm

And Broduer played like shit.

It's time to put Luongo in net.

USA was outshot, yet played swarming defense (when it counted) and took advantage of opportunities. Reminded me of several of the Hurricanes' victories over the Oilers a few years back.

And even though Chris Pronger played like an AARP member last night, Ryan Miller DID win the game for the USA. Nothing wrong with that...he's a part of the team, right?

True.

From the game I saw, Canada didn't just out shoot them, they pretty much dominated for 2 and a half periods. If it wasn't for Miller, Canada would of won.

Did they win, yeppers, but you can't really say US was the better team.
