It seems like it did. Just hope the NHL continues with it.

But what we saw was playoff hockey. Even with the highly skilled players, I didn't really see any crazy good plays and most goals were the typical banger playoffs goals.

the final of the hockey in the winter olympics wasnt just a classic hockey moment, it was a classic sporting moment. its had people who've never had much interest in the sport, certainly including me, and just being in utter amazement into how awesome that game was. you always want the final game of a tourney in any sport to be a showcase, and its extremely hard to think of many that come to the standard shown sunday.

hockey fans, be proud. that was not just for hockey, that was for the world.

it would kinda suck if they didnt have hockey in Sochi 2014

they also say, they might get rid of women's hockey from the winter Olympics, because of the lack of competition. Also i heard bettman was still considering whether or not they would allow NHL players to go.

They should get rid of women's hockey. It's brutal.

I totally agree, it was an amazing game.

How the hell anyone can react as fast as they do whilst skating on ice is beyond me.

It's the same as skiiing.

Canadians go on skates as early as 3. Once you get comfortable, it's not really a problem.

LOL @ Penguins fans booing everytime they showed a replay of Crosby's goal. And Miller got a louder ovation than Crosby. 😆 Good sh*t Penguins fans.

at least we dont boo everytime the other team touches the puck like just about every other team's fans do

Pissed off at the, Penguins. They knew that was a big game for the fans and they left their game by the way side. What the **** are you holding out for...,playoffs? I'd rather have honor than victory, but failure and misery is what we have been served up all season. I think the dude is innocent and am really surprised that the Steelers organization and even a lot of the fans aren't sticking behind him.

I'm sticking behind him. And why not? Like the other 500 NFL scandals over the past 10 years, including Ray-Ray's knifing, it will all get swept under the carpet. Sadly, the only way for that not to happen is to be in a situation like Steve McNair.

I don't know. If somehow he is found guilty then I can't see people sticking behind him.

It seems to me that athletes don't get nearly the respect from authority they used to get.

With a great lawyer and PR rep, athletes still dupe the public into believing they're role models. To me, it's one of the most baffling realities of all time.
