She fell to her kneed and wrapped her free arm around him. "Lich cant be gone... He cant leave. He'll be back... Right?" She looked sadly up into his eyes. "I have to see him again... I have to thank him."

Kiki shook her head sadly. "No... It would have been someone else's fault for the end of the world." She watched a woman brush past her. "They are to stupid to know what we are... If they did they would fear us. And human's kill what they fear."

He shrugged her off, Lich would have disagreed with these words. He served them all, humans, vampires, lichenthropes, kings, paupers alike. It didn't matter they all one thing in common: mortality. She would never understand Lich, "you...you...vampires are all alike," he said turning to her, his eyes red from his tears. A pair of sharp teeth shone in the exposure before disappearing again, "I was once like you, thought like you, did as you vampires did. But Lich found me, he cared for me. When none others did, he took me in. I cursed him, hated him, even tried to kill him. Just like your husband." His fists tightened, "but he didn't stop, he pushed through. At the cost of his life, he saved you and your stupid little baby!" the child let out a cry, "and yet where is your gratitude? You think a 'thank you' will bring him back?" His head looked at the ground at his feet no longer tense but calm. There was a quiet and long pause where only the cry of the baby could be heard. The man found the mind of Benji and sent him a whisper, Your b***** is here. Come and claim her. and before he could respond the connection was lost. Only a signal that could be detected by powerful vampires and a trail for strong hybrids.
He dropped the peice of paper and it drifted to her feet, "here, one final parting gift from Lich. I didn't look at it, but I know it's Lich's entire genealogy. From his birth to your child's. Show that to your arrogant husband, that bastard of a doubting Thomas. And you tell him, you tell him this!" his voice tensing up again, "he's the luckiest son of a b***** to have been loved unconditionally by someone other then you. The only example where the hand that feed him was bit, but he kept on getting food." He turned around in complete contempt at everything he had to do. He had imagined that the people Lich had brought were those different before. But when that man handed him the paper he knew who he had just saved, and he hated himself for it. He converted in a swarm of bats and flew off into the distance with the four powerful demons flying close behind. As Steph looked onward, a small pocket watch had fallen, disappearing into the bladed of glass. When it fell the side of it opened to reveal a name. A picture of the man who had saved Steph's life, a little younger and cleaner looking with Lich standing in the background with his back turned towards the camera, but his head turned and facing the side, with the little old man smiling next to the youth of a man. A name and message inscribed inside it read, "Leinhart, my new found son. -Lich"
She gasped and listened, shocked that he would say such a thing to her. She shook her head and looked down at her child. She sneered and shook her head in disgust. "Koal.. If it wasnt for you and me.... He would still be here." She bowed her head and looked over at the fallen castle, slowly making her way to what was left of it. She carefully stepped through the splinters of wood and glass, looking for any sign on life.
jason fell to the ground outside of the hospital. he felt, almost, like he was having a heart attack, yet it wasn't happening the way it should. he thought for a few moments. just lay there on the sidewalk pavement thinking. he wanted to get up, but instead his body just lay there. he thought oof lich for the smallest of moments and then realised what was happening. "the connection's severing." but what did this mean, was lich gone, but he couldn't be. he couldn't die. it just wasn't possible. so then why wasn't jason standing up and calling for him. but then jason realised why. he was crying.
