Bullpoop. Neo is superfast, he sees the attacks AS they come, not BEFORE.

Neo has NO precog.

these people have superhuman strength and a punch could blast him across a city, with weaker opponents he ahsnt needed t ododge the weapons though (he blocked a sword with his hand)

So... ? Throughout all the movies he's blocked everyone's punches, not everyone in the movies can punch him across a city, Smith was actually the only one who as that strong.

Even people who he could defeat effortlessly like the Smith clones in the second movie, who were no where near his equal, he still had to block and dodge punches and kicks. Neo has never shown the ability to just raise his hand and blast people away like a force push or anything. There's no proof that he can do it to someone with a lightsaber.

another good post. 👆

Luke would win. He is a force god for heaven's sake!

Luke is not a god, he could in reality lose this fight, but not likely. He has too many weapons at his disposal.

One thing of note, how strong are these "force holds" the fanboys nut on and on about, could sheer physical strength break them?

They can be countered by another force user, even broken if the force user is powerful enough.

Only the force can counter the force? Didn't Boba counter Vader's force use?

Fett faces off against Darth Vader on Tatooine. In 1 BBY, Fett was hired by Grand Moff Tarkin to bring in Solo, who had deserted from the Imperial Navy long ago. While Fett tracked Han Solo from Hoth to Tatooine, Vader, also in pursuit of Solo, was not far behind. Fett eventually located Solo in a cantina and placed a trap near the back entrance. As Fett waited for his prey to enter the trap, Vader appeared and attempted to take Solo by force. Fett, not wanting the bounty taken from him, engaged Vader in battle as Solo tried to escape out the back. Solo ran into Fett's trap, a stasis-field, which immobilized him. Vader took the upper-hand in battle until Fett made an unexpected move, unleashing a lightsaber of his own. The two clashed briefly, and though Vader's skills with the lightsaber greatly out-matched Fett's, Boba's brute force, ferocity, and pure determination allowed him to hold his own. In the fray, the stasis-field was damaged and Solo escaped. Vader, more interested in catching Solo, removed himself from the fight and took Fett's lightsaber with him, though Fett would lose Solo's bounty. Angered, Fett declared that he would find Solo, wherever he hid.

That made Vader out to be a somewhat of a pussy, granted Boba is a bad-ass, Vader is supposed to be one of the most bad-ass mofos in the galaxy. He tossed Palpatine out like garbage, while gravely injured.

Not sure if this Force business is as powerful as you make it.

"While battling UnuThul, Luke was able to resist the combined Force power of the Colony and triumph. When UnuThul attempted to Force Push the Grand Master, Luke rooted himself in the heart of the Force so strongly that it was said that he had become the very essence of the immovable object, and that not even the black hole at the center of the galaxy could not move him."

I'd say the Black Hole at the center of the Galaxy is more than strong enough to be usable in this situation.

Also,

"During the battle of Kuat, Luke was able to use the Force to such a degree that he didn't even have to move to immobilize Jacen. It is important to note that Jacen was at this time a full Sith Lord, and he still couldn't break free."

I would say that pure physical strength could break them. I don't have as much info on Exar Kun as I'd like, but I thought that he could over come force "stuff" just because he was a hoss. I'd like to equate it to the shadow bind technique used by Shikamaru in Naruto...it can be overcome.

Vader was taken surprise by Fett having a lightsaber, and left the battle because he was more interested in capturing Solo, taking Fetts saber with him. Had they continued to fight, Fett would have been killed.

seems like a metaphor to me about the black hole, like when some people are said to move as lightning

I don't think you know that I know that you don't know very much about the EU. Read about the back story for that feat of Luke's and then it makes sense.

Yeah...

Dadudemon is correct. The force can be overcome by sheer strength... but Neo can't do it. Mace Windu in Shatterpoint used the force to levitate multiple tons of a rock slide in place. Yoda levitated en entire fleet of ships into the air using the force in the CW cartoons, Luke used it to manipulate black holes. Nihilius used it to keep a shattered ship held together in one piece. While flying at lightspeed.

Neo has never shown the ability to put out that much strength.

how strong are these "force holds" the fanboys nut on and on about,

Just curious, who are these fanboy(s) you speak of? And better yet do you actually know what the definition of a fanboy is? I hope your not just pouting.

Just because we're stating the truth (That Ydoa would tear Dumbledore's shit to pieces with little to no effort. That Luke would beat non-god Neo without much effort.), doesn't make us fanboys.

They dont get it, man, that or they choose to ignore it.

They call us fanboys when they have nothing left to say.

The "Luke PWNS ALL, oh yeah!" people.

It appears so. You'd think that someone as highly intelligent as Rob wouldn't need to resort to tossing stuff like that around. But... *shrug* 🙁

It's not our fault that in both cases, the star wars character would rape his opponent without much difficutly.

Perhaps in the future the thread creators can pair the star wars characters up with strogner opponents? Maybe use weaker characters? Boba Fett vs. uh... I dunno. Someone else would be cool.

You're the biggest one of them all, you have proved this in this thread and the Yoda thread. You spout "Luke/Yoda win!", then wait for other people to post decent and thought out post so you can piggy-back what they said.
