But we have these AVP movies and that suck, so big money movies without a good script fails...like TF 2. But the first Predator movies what take millions less to make are still great/good. A moves budget is not the end and be all.
But if you were to make predator now it would probably cost 100 to 200 million.

Thats because of the prices on props and crap like that were increased over time.
If Bay were to make this movie it would be more like 400 mil. Bay would make it a shit ass story but good CGI etc...
Rodriguez could make a better movie with 100-200 mil.
Some of the set pics have been leaked,

i can't say anything from the pics cause they are taken out of context, since they are behind the scenes. i will have to wait till i see a trailer at least.
what do you guys think?
I was looking up who is in predators and i have to say the list isn't that bad.
Topher Grace ... Edwin (from that's 70 show and spiderman 3)
Danny Trejo ... Cuchillo (johnny 23 from con air)
Adrien Brody ... Royce (king kong, not sure about him but hopefully he can pull it off)
Laurence Fishburne ... Noland (Morpheous matrix and CSI)
Alice Braga ... Isabelle (in i am legend)
Walton Goggins ... Stans (he was in the worlds fastest indian and shanghi noon)
There may be hope for this movie. it has a better cast than AVP-R that is for sure
Official Site with some footage

at least Rodriguez is right can't compete with Arnold.
Theres a comic adaptation of this coming and also a Prequel and sequel from Dark Horse
AVP-R wasn't bad from Predator perspective. That film actually got most things right. The aliens were screwed in that one but the Yautja were screwed in the first AVP so........
The cast for this looks good. Brody, Fishbuirne, etc.
I had no idea they had even started filming this yet. This is such a pleasant suprise. I'll plan on going opening night.
