Danny Trejo's character is up 'Cuchillo'
I took the liberty of editing the thread and moving it to the MDF so it could get some decent hits.

Looks very mediocre, if you want my honest, and first, opinion.
I hope they don't overly show the predators at the beginning. One of the most effective parts about the original Predator was that you don't see the Predator clearly at first. Even though we know what the Predators look like, it still gives the idea that what is out there is relatively unknown and puts us in the place of the characters. The original did this well. The AVP movies showed the Predators immediately, which kind of ruins it. Afterall, the focus should be on the characters, not simply the visuals of the Predators. Showing the Predators right off the bat distracts from character development IMO.

This would be nice if they did this. I can still remember seeing the first predator movie when i was 14 and how tense and exciting it was not seeing the pred and then at then end when you finally saw it. WOW!
But there in lies the problem that we know what they look like and what they can do so i don't think there will ever be a surprise like that again.
Predator 2 had the alien skull surprise and the multiple preds at the end that is it. and aliens had the reveal of the queen. this new predators movie got me what they could do different, but maybe they will surprise us provided they haven't shown us it in the trailer.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this movie, but I'm afraid it could suck big time. I felt the same way about Terminator: Salvation; I was hoping for the best and when I finally got around to seeing it, it confirmed my true feelings -that it would suck hardcore. Let's hope this one doesn't.
Really? I enjoyed Terminator 4. thought it was a good addition to the franchise.

Yeah, but I was thinking about how even when I rewatched the original Predator over and over, the first half was still intense when you couldn't see the Predator. After 1 viewing, we all knew what the Predator looked like, yet it still was cool being engulfed in the confusion of the actors. Plus as already stated, its better to focus on the characters at first, that way it is more meaningful when they get killed off. It looks like they may be doing something like this though. The character snippets we are getting indicate that they want us to get some background on the characters.
