Indeed Thor did lift the serpent didnt it was more the planet earth. superman pushed a planet. Hmmmmmmm as cosmic said pushing a car is a whole lot easier then lifting. but yet superman pushes a planet, and thor lifts a snake that weighs as much as 1.
so if u wanna go on pushing planets, thor is much stronger then superman
Ok to whoever it was that started showing pictures of some of the people that Thor has fought... heres some of Superman's enemies that I will name etc.:
This one is Mr. Mxyzptlk. A fifth dimensional imp that is extremely powerful when it comes to magic although he is not considered to be necessarily evil. He and Superman have gone head to head with eachother in a battle of wits.
Thor would have no chance in beating this guy... Loki tricks Thor all the time... don't be ridiculous and say that Loku > Mr. Mxyzptlk. Thor would run up and try to hit him with his hammer only to have Mjolnir turned into a rose. I bet it would be cool to see Thor create lightning with a rose.
This next one is pretty interesting... Superman vs. Darkseid.
Well for all of you that don't know, Darkseid is ruler of a dark planet called Apokolips... Well Apokolips came around when Asgard (home of the old Gods) became ragnarok... the remaining old Gods became rulers of Apokolips and New Genesis. So you can see some similarities between them and Thor. Off subject though... Darkseid has controls the Omega Power which allows him to use his Omega beams to do things like teleport people, incinerate his enemies, and capture his enemies.
Superman and Darkseid fought... and I think the picture explains itself.
Ok now on to Doomsday... So they killed eachother the first time around... second time Superman with the help of a Mother Box (Hunter / Prey) banished Doomsday to the end of time, where there is nothing but destruction. Then later when they met and doomsday has intelligence... Superman was able to make him scared of death.
Now on to my last one of Superman's enemies... Imperiex. If you read the books and find out what his story is, he is a lot like Galactus. His role is to go around and "hollow" entire solar systems. So thats what he does. He destroyed Maxima's solar system and home planet (we all know how powerful Maxima is... stronger than Wonder Woman... better fighter, etc.). Then he came to the Milky Way in the DCU and had to deal with Superman.
So someone who goes around destroying galaxies vs Superman... and loses? No way Thor could ever hope to stand up to Galactus. I am not saying they are anywhere close in power but they do the same stuff... Thor can't even beat Silver Surfer.
Ok now on to how you said that Thor lifted the entire serpent this is the actual issue numbers and what happened:
(Thor issue #272)- While in the court of Utgard - Loki challenged Thor to lift his cat off the ground, but was humbled when the cat managed to keep at least one foot on the ground at all times. Utgard-Loki then revealed his so-called cat was actually the Midgard Serpent in disguise. A cat is one of the forms that the Midgard Serpent could take.
(Thor issue #380)- Thor and the Midgard Serpent engaged in a battle, during which Thor broke the serpent's teeth when it tried to swallow him. Finally, the serpent launched itself at Thor for its death strike, but Thor came back at it, unleashing the unfettered might of Mjolnir. The energies unleashed slew the serpent, and at the same time left Thor's body broken and pretty much beat it to a pulp.
(Thor issue #487)- Thor faced the Midgard Serpent in battle, but was quickly swallowed up. Unable to break free from its belly, Thor found himself exposed to the venom of the serpent's breath, and began to drift unconscious.
(Thor issue #488)- Thor was saved from death by Beta Ray Bill, who tore a hole through the serpent's stomach to reach him. The two hammer-wielders were able to smash their way out of the serpent's belly by combining the power of their hammers, and the Midgard Serpent faded back into Hel.
Maybe I am wrong but after I read the comics... nowhere does it show Thor lifting the Midgard Serpent. Also you were wrong because the Midgard Serpent does not weigh as much as a planet. He can encircle the planet. Because supposedly he is the son of a giant that Loki hooked up with.
Ok so now I showed you more proof of how you are wrong and you have yet to show me anything that are facts... that I can actually see and not out of the 'savagerampage encyclopedia of wrong facts.'
