I happened to forget about the time he phased through Doomsday attack 😛But Exiles Hyperion has done that. So I'm expanding my claim to everything Superman has done you can assign to a person that you wouldn't say could fight at C 313
And my moronic assertation. I'm not the one trying to say that cause Superman can create sonic booms with his fist he is greater in speed then Thor.
FYI Thor has swung his hammer at lightspeed which is better than making a sonic boom 😉
Still waiting for some examples of Thor brawling at hypersonic speeds. 🙂.

FYI Thor once dug a ditch on an erupting volcano before Lava could reach the bottom. In order to do that feat he would have had to been moving and doing work at hypersonic speed at least. 😉

Already did. Reread the thread if it didn't get through your dense skull the first time.

Do you need to look up 'brawling' in the dictionary?

I know what brawling is. Now look up the idea of work, movement, brawling, and see what the common link is. I'm sure you can do it. 😉
Originally posted by SoljerI already told you for Thor to have dug the ditch he would have had to.
Then I'm sure you can, quite easily, find scans of Thor doing such at hypersonic speeds.Lemme know.
It's the same reason you say Superman can fight at least Hypersonic speeds. Why cause if his punches created sonic booms that means he can right.
Well in order for Thor to have done the thing he did he would have had to be going at least hypersonic.
Of course if how hard and fast you can throw a punch determines how fast he can fight. Then Thor being able to swing his hammer at lightspeed means what.
That he can punch and swing his arms at light speed.
Swinging your arms at lightspeed >>>>>>>> creating Sonic booms hmm

The only time I've seen Thor face a legitimate "blitz" (i.e. what you just described) was against Gladiator in an Avengers comic, I believe. Thor was getting shit stomped. Pure and simple. He only "won" the fight because Gladiator willingly stopped his assault, and Thor summoned Living Lightning to blast Gladiator. In other words, outside interference.
Soljer is correct, without trickery Thor has had trouble dealing with Gladiator in the past. Masterson Thor for example beat him, but he needed to utilize a plot device in order to beat him senseless.
Also noted in their fight... Gladiator appeared to be playing with Thor (Masterson) and not taking it to him.
If Superman or Gladiator were out for blood either of them could drop a thousand bomb like punches on him before he knew what was going on, and since Thor has no healing factor like Lobo or the Hulk he would be at their mercy until he dropped. On the other hand sorcery has been seen to move quicker than the speed of C.
Thor in his current form impressed me by defeating the Destroyer and taking a blast that could destroy Uru, I dont see how Superman would be able to beat him even at the speed of C. Classic Thor is very close to Superman in power that it is hard to judge who would win a majority.

Supes holding a miniature Black Hole before it expands...
Listen guys it's not that I don't think Superman isn't faster than Thor. It's that you guys are presenting the worst arguments I've ever heard since I once heard the ma and pa Kent defense.
Almost all of Superman's feats are ambiguous art renditions of him using his speed. Like Imperiex or Doomsday.
Hyperion has done all of those, or Spiderman artistically has done some of Superman's stuff.
Let's be honest calling into question Thor's battle feats means you have to call into question Superman's. Fighting Gladiator, blocking an attack from a blurred Silver Surfer most people would jump at the opportunity, including Superman, to get those in their feats.
But for some reason since this is Thor vs Superman a lot of people like to play down Thor's combat speed feats. Bring up his low feats. Superman has low feats as well. For instance he has been thrown and surprised by BATMAN.
Here is a good over view of this fight.
Speed: Superman
Strength Superman by a little bit
Durability: Superman although Thor does seem to possess much better damage soak in some cases.
H2H skill: Thor
Versatility: Thor
Better Energy Attacks: Thor
Energy Manipulation: Thor
The fight would go like this. Thor has faced people with Superman's speed but few and he has even faced people physically his superior.
But never has Thor taken on someone that his superior and has Superman's speed. A few come close like Gladiator and sometime Hyperion. But one thing Thor is a stuff son of gun. People tend to forget not only did Glads speedblitz him but Thor took the very best Glads could dish and came back. Coming from a lightspeeder that can bust planets that is insane.
Thos has plenty of options that can compensate for Supes' natural speed.
Like Omni-directional blasts that you can not dodge. Teleportation to cut away some of the speed advantage. Shields to keep Superman occupied.
In all accounts this should be an epic fight. Who wins depends on the writer.
