It's more like, what Gladiator has done Superman hasn't done. It's easy to say "Superman could do that." Proving it is another matter. Considering both of their greatest feats of strength, I believe Gladiator to be the stronger. Feats are all your only measuring stick.

Probably, for the same reasons he bounces bullets off his chest and then dodges when a gun is thrown at him.

I remember reading a Superman comic in which the entire JLA was trying to hold Superman down on the ground.

It was MM, Orion, WW and a few others and WW says that they cant hold him for long. If those three couldnt hold Superman down I dont think Gladiator has that kind of power.

However, there is no doubt in my mind that Superman can withstand, or even shrug off Doomsday's fire breath. It's just that. Fire.

I also have no doubt about that and totally agree with you. It looks to me like Supes is just being a bastard and showing off there.

Yea I think he was showing off also. He was talking about fear during the fight so maybe he was showing DD what he can really do if he has to.

Thats the way I see it. It's kind of cool seeing Supes be a bastard like that...makes him a little more....human...and easier to relate to
