Thor vs Superman

I think if Thor does that trick ( that we saw posted by K3 ) on supes, he is not going to take it.

Thor has such an amount of abilities from battle field removal to pure magical ligthing that only a Thor written like a guy who only uses his hammer as a blunt weapon at that, will give supes a definitive win.

Likewise Supes written as a guy who just stands there... 😉

If he's written as a guy who can move at incomprehensible speed, has nigh unlimited strength, laser eyes, freeze breath, flight (unaided!!!) etc etc, then he could pull off a win.

But lets face a simple fact. Supes strengh isent above thors. They both have plenetary level feats. Supes is faster yes while Thor is more vicious, experienced and the better fighter.

Supes is though but Thor does have more power, more abilities and ways to win against supes, than the other way. he packs more fire if you like.

My opinion is that both at the top of theyr game can beat each other any time. I just give the sligh majority to the Thunder God 😉

In Jla/Avengers issue #2, Supes Did that to Thor. It wasent in the face but close range and Thor kept going (albeith it did hurt him).

On a similar note Captain Marvel did got hit in the face by heat vision (Superman/batman#3 or 4 ) and again while hurt he still kept on going without problems.

Both are godly magic. So maybe just heat vision wont do it

thor does not have teh resiliency to withstand supes blows and its much harder for thor to hit supes tahn vice versa

superman is too fast.

Thor can also go faster than light. And no theyr strengh isent apart. They are of the same class. Supes is invulnerable and while Thor wasent written like that (ala Kurt Busiek on avengers ) he is durable enough to wisthand alot of punishment.

In the end theyr both enormally strong and durable.

I just think Thor brings more ways to win the bout than supes. Hes more powerful too and a more skiled figther.

Supes can take some (and he will ) but not the majority.

Supes rarely uses full strength heat vision...but since this is an all out fight, lets assume he does. Imagine being hit with that in the face or directly in the eyes.

I meant to say that Thor hasent been writting like that lately. Unless im really wrong he was consistantly invulnerable during his classic stories.

Yeah extremely durable. Supe is higher for sure but hes up there too.

I do still have a doubt if Thor wasent portraited like that in most of his stories.....Hercules was so i think Thor should too.

Mjolner turns Supes into paste. Messith not with the Power of Thor!

And again my doubt is between Invulnerabilty instead of "just" being highly durable 😉 i dont think i explained that well in my previous post.

Well, Supes wrestled Asmodel who's very touch disintegrates flesh. Angelic magic is extremely powerful.

Thats the problem in discussing top tier guys, they are all very close in overall power stats.

he did wrestle asmodel and asmodels heaven magic is more powerful than that of the norse.

but it could have been argued that in the energy form, supes has different weaknesses.

I like the myths yeah. I read them before getting into comics ( i was really young by then, a total kisso ) because of them i started to draw. Theyr my fav subject.

Comics are fun but that total feel of fantasy, danger and magic only belongs to the myths ya know 😉 must be why i like Rpg games so much.

Movies? Some. Steeve reeves Hercules wer fun. Clash of Titans too ( note: im too young to have seen them at first. I saw them recently on dvd or tv )

My fav is the Jason and the Argonauts miniseries of 2000. Bryan Thompson is for me the best Heracles ever.

And both the "gladiator" and "troy" are up there too.
