In crossover classics 4, Surfer didnt do well against Kyle. I know people may say surfer was drained, but Kyle got drained as well. Plus it was Surfer who engaged Kyle in battle. If he was indeed drained, why charge and attack someone?
But snoopdogg is right. Theres a big difference between Kyle and Hal.

Wrong...Kyle absorbed the energy from Thanos and Parallax, contained it and then sent it to Surfer. Surfer couldnt take anything. Parallax however DID absorb SS energy like nothing.

Plenty of times where Surfer has been helpless due to energy loss or physical pain. Whats your point?
GL doesnt have to absorb energy from an opponent to beat them. How long can Surfer fight before losing energy? Not long.

Surfer held the energy when it was GIVEN to him.
Parallax took the energy from surfer. Big difference.

But yet they control and re-direct. Surfer sometimes seem to have trouble with his own power directed back at him.

Takes surfer a while to recover his energy as well. Here is another example. Doom whooped and mocked him (not the first time Doom beat him)..
As a matter of fact, DOOM has stolen Surfers power before.
