Knowing Johns, he'll probably have Hal, though sheer force of will, make use of GL energy without a ring. To the point of his body becoming pure will energy.

right now, it could go either way, well know more when we see what becomes of hal jordan. should he stabilize at that level, SS wont have much chance

This is why I like energy base characters, there is basically no limit to the destructive force they could apply, only the strength of will that's stop them. Ie: Surfer, Hal, Energy Supes, Ray, etc.. etc...

Surfer pretty much approach that level 7 years ago..

He'll probably stay at his base levels on a consistent level. I doubt he's getting powered up or anything.

The Surfer is superior to Hal Jordan. He's naturally far stronger and more durable, more powerful and just as versatile.

Surfer 7/10, easily.
