The panel directly uses the term WAVE. He is RIDING that wave-- of energy. That what the effect of explosions ARE. Waves of kinetic force: a shockWAVE. The BOARD is being pushed by that WAVE of force. That's why he is called the Silver SURFER.

How much more laughable do you have to shown to be?

It's no more different than Wolverine being punched by the Hulk, and flying a good distance away.

Of course, the Surfer is doing it way more elegantly, but it's basically the same.

The difference of course,being that the Surfer doesn't catch the initial explosion. Only the shockwaves that propogate outwards from it.

Like saying every being who has been sent flying from a thunderclap from the Hulk, can tank being in the middle of that same clap.

Second panel mentions he's riding the shockwaves, the ROLLING GASES.

What the f*ck is surfer surfing in?
An explosion, with all the shockwaves, all the gases.
He caught it early enough that he rode the explosion to another galaxy lol.

First panel mentions a supernova exploding, and gases catching up to Surfer FLINGING him into the void.
Only further out does Surfer start riding the effects of the explosion (shockwaves, rolling gases, my empty bottle of black, whatever at this point)
Read the scans, not just the buzzwords. And consider also who Silver Surfer is.

Surfer 8/10 . The things that have happened to Hal wouldn't come close to happening to Surfer and space cheese doesn't change this. Lanterns are only good when fighting other Lanterns. Surfer kills him and I'm being nice giving Hal 2 wins.
