No it's canon.

Surfer is just too powerful... 😖hifty:

Not imo.

It coincides perfectly with the Bio of the Infinity Gems:

"The Infinity Gems (previously known as "Soul Gems"😉
are some of the most powerful artifacts in the Universe.
EACH One allows its owner complete omnipotence over One aspect of the universe:
time, space, reality, mind, power, and soul.
When all six are directly wielded together,
nothing is impossible for their bearer
."

On Panel evidence is being confirmed in an official Marvel bio,
this is the same bio as the Handbook. (I'm not in the mood to go searching for it to crop)

Rune proved it too,
by controlling the entire Time-Stream with the Time Gem alone.

Meh, the Gems have performed even greater feats than this.
(like the Soul Gem, which contains a Universe)

Don't forget about the Soul Gem DESTROYING a universe(in the form of the eradication of Magus's timeline) and the Reality Gem having the capability to recreate the 616 universe with an altered Mistress Death.

I don't care.

You're talking about one statement, and that one statement certainly seems like it could mean either or.

It's not a good statement to prove a case in other words.

the soul gem destroyed a TIME line? aren't time lines not the same in marvel as they are in dc. in dc, they are actual universes. in marvel they are just splinters right? and the CAPACITY? did it do so?

I totally agree with the definitions of the gem. I was argueing this Cap w/ PG vs Hulk or soemthing. But the showings of the PG seem to suck drax but thor was a bit better and eventually he would have freed himself but the drax thing was bad. You think its the ability to weild the PG counts more then just having the PG?

Thanx Avlon for paying attention.

The extent of the Gem's capacity is dependent on the bearer.

But yes, potentially,
a single Gem can make one Omnipotent over said concept it controls.
(been proven on panel when Rune shut down Time itself across the cosmos)

For the record: (to that other dude in particular)

The Living Tribunal was definitely talking about the Gems separately!
(even though it's obvious, don't wanna allow the fallacy fooling others with ignorant accusations)

What you were portraying seemed pretty clear to me dude.

The gems are infinite, the users are usually not. They still have to have some idea of what they are doing. The more experienced, the better they can tap into it's potential.

rune was not experienced with the gems. thanos studied them and still didn't do what rune did.

This is what happens when you just swallow words on the internet at face value.

Rune wasn't defeated by SS,
Rune was defeated by the Gems themselves, plus SS:

From the very start, after the IG was complete,
Rune never had control, because he was struggling with the Gems' Sentience,
for control of the IG:

Rune tells the Gems trying to control the IG:

"Do not cajole me Stone"

.................................................................................

Rune tells the Gems:

"I am you master"

.................................................................................

Another book, same scenario, different angle:

"I am your master" ... (Rune is obviously struggling for control)
.................................................................................

The Silver Surfer noticed Rune battling with the Gems, and capitalized on it:

"He (Rune) seems to be struggling with the Soul Gem ... I must act now"

And Rune still retains all his power... 😬

Or did he lose all his power when he was struggling with the Soul Gem? I mean, did it take away the power from the Power Gem as well?

Not imo.

I only brought out that one statement cause it was coming from the LT,
but I can post 10 more if you'd like.

And I don't know how it could mean either or friend,
the BIO of the Infinity Gems states clearly,
that EACH Gem gives omnipotent control over one aspect of Reality.

We've seen Rune freeze the entire Time-Stream. 😂

We've seen the Soul Gem containing an entire cosmos withIn it.

We've seen Warlock destroy an entire Universe with the Soul Gem.

We've seen the Reality Gem on the verge of collapsing 616,
which would lead to all realities falling.

Come on B, seriously, you know these things already, or is you playin? 😛

I'll look into more mega-examples, (concerning single gem feats)
but as far as statements are concerned,
I can flood this page with those.

Are you serious here?

I said the statement you were pointing out was vague. The statement you were using as your only proof at the time, was vague. The statement was not worded in a way for you to rule the other option out.

I never said anything about anything else. I don't care if they are omnipotent or not, but the proof you were using at the time, didn't exactly say what you make it seem to say.

I don't know if I can make it any more simple...

Also, can't any registered user edit Marvel.com?

Not true.

In Marvel, Timelines are Universes just as well.

Even though Rune never had full control,
he never was able to used more than a fraction of the IG's power anyway:

"A Fraction" (while simultaneously struggling with that fraction)

Yea.

I disagree.

Imo, the statement is concrete.

And I saw it that way before I saw the Marvel bio agreeing with my interpretation.

🙂

Now you're being simple,
but a few moments ago you were poking fun at Rune losing to SS,
ignoring the stipulation behind the defeat,
it seemed you were bringing that up, to downplay what the LT said about the Gems,
what the Infinity Gem bio confirms.

No.

But besides, it's the same bio as the Handbook. (I can crop it, but I'm not in the mood)

Handbook entries (at the site) can't be altered at all anyway.

😐

He was only using a fraction of his power on that blast. You know, the first blast that he fired at Surfer.

Now find out where he was said to have been hindered from using the Gem's full power.

He was struggling with the Soul Gem. He wasn't struggling with the omnipotent power of the Power Gem. And besides, the Soul Gem stopped interfering as soon as Surfer showed up anyway. Unless I forget something important from the other book.

OK, and why should that matter? He still held omnipotent power no matter how you spin it, did he not have the Power Gem?

LT confirms what either side believes. Nv... Fangirl believes it was together, and you believe it was alone. The statement is not cut and dry if you decide to only argue about the statement... which you were doing.

OK, cool. But I don't care. And don't kid yourself, you're obviously going to post it in an attempt to thwart me anyway (even though it has no effect on anything I said). I can already see it.
Plus, why would you have to crop it? If it's the same bio, it's only a tiny read. I'm sure I can handle it.

Anyway, all I'm saying is that that statement is questionable.
And questioning Marvel.com.

Nothing more, nothing less. I never said that the Gems weren't omnipotent alone. And yes, I was poking fun at the Gems getting beat by Surfer, because it was the biggest pis I've ever seen in a comic.
I feel like I have to say what I'm doing, so I'll say it.

And so we enter the 'oppose me? debate me!' stage... woot, fun. 🙄

You don't really have to respond, I understand what you were sayin,
and I respect that,
but I just wanted to clear up what I was sayin,
just for the record.

All the Gems are omnipotent, concerning the respective concept they control.

Not exactly.

To the very end,
the Soul Gem was interfering:

The Soul Gem even curses Rune was disturbing its plan with the struggle:

No need for this underlined sarcasm, it's gibberish, and you know it. 😛

I disagree.

"One of the Omnipotent Infinity Gems"

Imo

When the LT is stating this, he's referring to the Gems individually,
this is why an artistic visualization is depicted of the individuals,
carrying the Gems individually:

It means bio writers can go in and adjust updated info.

But go ahead and join the site, and try to edit something yourself.

It's a legitimate bio entry, if you wish to dismiss it, that's on you.

And, it may not affect what you said,
but it coincides with what I said about the Gems concerning their individuality.

Yea, but I have to go into my storage, to find the corresponding Handbook,
then burn it, then crop it,
then upload it,
then post it on kmc.

I'll hit you up tomorrow though. 🙂

I agree for the most part, but at-least they tried to throw in the stipulation,
which while it is a cheap attempt at an excuse,
at-least there is one.

Yeah you can edit the bios on the Marvel website, but you need enough "Hero points". It's practically a wikipedia format for the pubilc to alter

Not exactly km,

Only Marvel staff, like "Writers" have access to the editing tabs at Marvel.com

(concerning the representative Handbook bios especially)
