I've lived there for a couple of months (didn't really work out), and I actually just went there last Saturday.
What is it with you ****ers thinking Amsterdam is just some place filled with hookers and coffeeshops? You won't find either near the center of the city, and they're closing down the brothels anyway. Amsterdam is a beautiful city, but it's ruined by all the ****ing tourists who ****ing walk into a McDonalds and expect the cashier to know the exact location of the best coffeeshops in town, and then choose to ignore the architecture and scenery in disappointment. Mother****er.
