I'm not saying there aren't any coffeeshops. I'm saying that most Americans think the place is flooding with them, which is not the case. It's worth it to just check out the city. If you're just coming to the Netherlands for weed you're better off going to Maastricht. That place actually is filled with coffeeshops. It's a more beautiful city as well, it's pretty much the only Dutch city which was founded and built by the Romans, which you can still see in it's architecture.
