Do you guys see why I think Morrison is overrated?

If in fact, Alfred dies....Morrison is officially an idiot in my book. Killing the most important character of the mythology and shoving his shitty Damian character into the Batman family is bad...I mean really..really BAD!

No, he dies.

However, DC is known to change plans at the last minute. So they might pull this idea out.

You really hate Damian, eh?

Hmm, I only really read two things by Morrison..and both were excellent. But of course that might have just been a (two) lucky strike(s).

Well if they want to ruin Batman like Spider-man then fine, i just won't bother with the titles anymore.

It won't matter to DC anymore. Now that they got the TDK cash cow money coming...they're doing whatever they want with the mythos. There is been nothing good at the Batman title since Morrison took over. There is been maybe one or two stories that have been okay. I personally will drop the book once Alfred leaves. I'll stick to TEC.....

Thank you Paul Dini pray

They kill Alfred? GTFO!

IMO, Morrison's run on Batman is one of if not the best runs ever on the character in the mainstream DCU. It is interesting, complex and something very important, it's not predictable.

Trust me, no one wants that to happen...not in a way that could harm the future of the series.

I don't give Morrison any kind of appraisal simply because....this R.I.P. on Batman is really not necessary...

Pretty much Frank Miller in DK gave us a visual as to how Batman would be end.

Batman mental state has been tested many times. See, The Cult.

Batman passing the torch to another character has been done in Knightfall (and we all know how horrible that became)

As for romance...well, it was done in Son of the Demon.

The character has evolved quite well....whenever I see "Morrison is going to change Batman..." I laugh...it's a joke. Not a funny Ha-ha joke.

Is just that Morrison doesn't bring ANYTHING new to the table. It's been done. Oh, and trust me...I gotten into serious fights with his fanboys. You can't tell a Morrison fan that...."Morrison is wrong". Good luck with that...

I hate Morrison. I want his head.

What Frank Miller illustrated in the The Dark Knight Returns isn't even close to being similar to what Morrison is doing to be honest.
Same goes for his mental state being analyzed in this story and The Cult one.
Batman being replaced during in Knightfall happened in different circumstances to those at hand, and we don't even know how RIP/the possible torch passing will be handled so, again, making a comparison is premature.
The 'romance' angle doesn't even need to be adreesed ..
Meh .. whatver. You look more like a 'Morrison hater' than a 'argue against Morrison fanboys' from that post, at least in my view. Don't get me wrong, I hated Damien too when he appeared, but it doesn't bother me that much that I won't enjoy what Morrison writes. 😬

This run on batman is not to my liking, to be honest so far i have only liked Morrisons Animal Man.....i loved it actually! i cant say anything positive about anything else i have read by him though 😬

A lot of people say that, he has a less than straight forward style that not everyone enjoys. In general he's incredibly clever and very good at pulling lots of different things together to make a complete picture out of dozens of pieces. His run on JLA and Seven Soldiers demonstrate it perfectly. Clearly he's either nuts, brilliant or just likes making people feel stupid (or a combination thereof).

Oh man, I hate to be the one to tell you, but there are like 4 more pages after he dies.

Not really...I did like Morrison Seven soldiers and his work in All Star Superman. Just that here in Batman....I'm not connecting. Some writers connect with the characters right away. Like Dini with TEC or Geoff with GL.

Dini's Detective Comics is fun, enjoyable but unlike Morrison, he just simply doesn't seem to take that many risks. Though I enjoy Dini's run on TEC, I enjoy Morrison's run much more. It's more complex, interesting, surprising, mysterious and fun, imo.

But then again .. to each his own.

This solicit scares me .. specifically the bolded part
