Now, maybe he can only retcon when he's busting a dimensional barrier. Ok. But the sheer power required to do that is monstrous. Only person in marvel who I can think of that breaks dimensional barriers with physical force, is Trion Juggernaut.

Yeah, he was not up to it, and went back home and cried to his girlfriend. He was snatched by Prime without Zannataz, whose only real purpose was to keep him from escaping.

Now don't get me wrong, Mxy was much more powerful than SMP, but with the amp, all of SMP's powers increased to gigantic levels, including magic resistance. Now, what Mxy uses has either been retconned to magic, or maybe it functions like magic on 3D beings. But that is the only reason why SMP was able to beat his ass.
