You would have to be pretty skillful to hit Wolverine in the leg while he was running. He didn't just shoot him but precisley in the leg. What Punisher fought him earlier and hes suposed to assume that it wasn't him???

edit: LOL if you look at the scans yeah he thought he was an ape-poacher. Still though that doesn't mean you assume understimate somebody who you smack bang in the leg while running. Hell according to the scan Punisher thought that Wolverine was a poacher as well.

Marvel pretty much ignored everything that Huldin did with Klaw in his first BP run, even McDuffie's F4 ignored it and he was doing a cross over with Huldin's BP! Wolverine's foster daughter Amiko is 16-18 now and she was a baby when Franklin Richards was around 4 or 5... and Franklin isn't in his 20s now. The editoral staffs aren't perfect.

I could have sworn that several story arcs from Ennis Marvel Knights Punisher (which is in continuity without a shadow of a doubt) run have been reference in MAX... but I don't feel like re-read 50+ issues to be sure. 🙁

There's also a few things a guy I know brought up:

For one Nick and Frank have aged more realistically than their 616 counterparts, that being because of 616's floating time line and the fact that MAX takes place in the "real world"... That means no Super Soldier serum for Nick. In MAX, Fury was involved in the Cold War, not WWI or II. Peacemaker, which Ennis wrote is not the MAX imprint, but the Knights Imprint. Fury MAX explicitly states that he is an "old school Cold War era spook".

Micro was killed in the 90's, he was hit by a rocket and just about incinerated. They even showed us his charred corpse. But he's still alive in the first MAX arc. Hell, that whole storyline most likely didn't happen in the MAX universe. 616 Punisher and MAX Punisher are just as different as 616 Punisher and Ultimate Punisher.

I really think all these major differences are enough to say MAX is not in continuity.

Barracuda, a character in MAX, had ALOT of durability and punisher did alot of horrible things to him.
Barracuda may not have been rite on Sabes level, but its pretty close..

regarding MAX, i just want to mention that certain bits and certain characters carried over to MAX. try "slavers" for instance.

What part of the 'Slavers' storyline carried over to Punisher: War Journal?

A rocket launcher won't keep Sabretooth down....

sabretooth is more like around 8 - 10 tons class range

shooting Sabretooth in the balls didn't work back in the early 90's it sure as HELL ain't workin now. DP shot Sabretooth dead on with a rocket launcher and it did absolutely nothing. You're ridiculous Punisher fanboyism's as powerful as ever I see.
