Wolverine (finally! The Revamped Respect Thread!)

Started by srankmissingnin101 pages

The Hulked-out Heroes Wolverine vs Captain America issue has some good stuff. Wolverine's healing factor is able to fight off a gamma mutation (which is considering all the horrible stuff Banner went through trying to cure himself is really impressive), allows him to retain his mental acuteness and he would apparently rage stomp Hulk-Bucky in seconds if he allowed himself too.

Not really sure what to post though... it's pretty much the narration of the entire issue (and the preview for the second and I don't want to post a whole comic. It seems wrong.

I still don't understand how it's possible for Wolverine and his claws to be mutated but whatever, somehow Bucky's arm was also mutated.

So... apparently Wolverine holds a grudge against Bucky only because he was tortured on Chicago? Murdering Logan's wife was nothing compared to that? I see. Makes perfect sense.

Yeah, it's retarded. But at least we've got to see kid Parker getting owned by a fellow nerd. Priceless.

I'd be inclined to believe that, but his entire skeletal structure grew bigger and changed even (look at his jaw for example).

which should be impossible due to the adamantium....he probably should've died, or have been in excruciating pain until his healing factor healed him.

That was never in doubt.

According to Deadpool Team-up 891, the Blood Sport from Wolverine v2 167 was only a year ago Marvel time. Wolverine has had a rough year.

Well according to the Civil War Damage Report 14 years have passed since the FF gained their powers up to the Civil War.

Wolverine #900

Wolverine is a beast, 'nuff said.

It's not the entire issue, after all we won't be posting the flashback scenes 😉 Anyway, at least 2-3 scans from that issue are fairly essential.

That's why Wolverine isn't in Shadow Land. It would be done in one issue.

Because it would be over in one issue? lol

But he is going to be Shadow Land down the line according to some of the promo pieces.

And everyone get out there and celebrate, because the monstrosity that is Wolverine: Origins is done for ever now!!! See you in hell Wayverine.

🤣

Too much ****en storytelling with Wolverine Origins....

Too much ****en storytelling with Wolverine Origins....

Not only that, but the storytelling was downright TERRIBLE. First, there was the fact that Wolverine was supposed to carry around some kind of stupid red sword that made him "more powerful than ever". Something pretty much everyone hated because well..Wolverine is much better with his claws than he is with the sword. Then, there was the creation of Daken which is the most pathetic attempt at a legit super villain I've seen since Captain Picard's ridiculous clone in Star Trek Nemesis. Just terrible. The worst part is though, he destroyed some of Wolverine's core history in dramatic ways that forever changes how we see the character. Instead of being the outlaw hero with a moral center, we ended up with someone who was a war criminal. At one point, Wolverine was even drawn to look like a child molester or something. I mean, the character is supposed to be BAD as in bad ass not bad to such an extent that the respect that many of us had for the character was destroyed in a manner that can never be returned. He's not supposed to be bad in a way that makes us want to put him in league with Hitler. We hardly learned anything about Logan's history..and the stuff we did learn was either completely uninteresting and boring or ripped apart the very fabric of the character. Srank even made a post suggesting that we all vote on whether or not Origins should even be considered continuity.

X-Force: Sex and Violence #2

Logan stomps Razorfist.

Honed so sharp they'll cut through anything.

Sharper than any scalpel I've ever wielded.

Claws that can cut through every substance we've been able to test them on.

It is obvious from his fighting prowess that Weapon X has received extensive combat training.
