World War Hulk: Gamma Corps #3 makes it crystal clear that Wolverine did cut the Hulk then:

I remember reading this old comic book teamup of Logan and Greyskin, where he claims hs couldn't penetrate his skin. Wasn't mine, read it off a friends stash as a kid.

When did they retcon that for the first time?

If by Greyskin you mean Mr. Fixit, then you remember it wrong 😛

It wasn't a team-up. They tried to tear each other apart.

And Logan said he always *thought* Hulk's skin was impenetrable and that he was wrong --- as Hulk's healing factor simply repairs the damage so fast, it seems as if the cut wasn't made.

That was the first time it got retconned, but most chose to dismiss it, because it was Grey - weaker - version of Hulk. Even though Wolverine was talking in general about the Hulk and his abilities, not specifically about Fixit.

That he found a way to do it to any hulk is what he means.
