Shadow backed away after a moment, slightly unsure of what had happened. As a demon, he had been raised not to love, but to destroy. Now, everything ceased to make sense to him. "Sorry..."

serg dropped onto the earth a yard from the 2. he stood quiietly and kept his eyes shut as if focusing on something completely different. "there you are kaisura, thought i'd lost you." he lowered into a crouch and opened his eyes peering at the 2. "anyway, if you 2 lovebirds wouldn't mnd saving it for some oter time..."

Kaiisura back away a few feet herself, "what was I thinking? a demon loving me back the way i love him? it's impossible." Kaiisura mumbled as she held her head in her hands. "Am I that stupid? Am I that confused? Am I that shameful?" she muttered.

Shadow shook his head. Why did I pull away? He watched as Serg entered, turning his head slightly. "Serg? The Hell are you doing out here?"

"oh serg I'm sorry I left earlier... I..I thought... Saizure..." Kaiisura paused, "He's a demon spy.. I'm so stupid. I'm such an idiot,"Kaiisura said agrivated at herself.

serg turned to shadow. "i could ask the same thing, but i'm not. i promised saizure that i would keep her safe till he got back. unfortunately he betrayed her and now i'm stuck with a promise that effectively ends my servitude to hell until further notice."

he turned to kaisura. "it's not your fault." he stood and imitated a smile. "no one think's you're an idiot."

Kaiisura looked at Serg, "Yeah right, I shouldn't be called an angel for this..." she said.

serg frowned. "then don't call yourself an angel. you've obviously taken a liking to shadow. by now other angels would consider you a traitor." he thought for a second, realising that she may take what he said the wrong way and start crying or something.

<<goddamned computer froze up, sorry for the delay, all.>>

Shadow nodded his assent at all that transpired. "I wouldn't go that far, Kaii. You assumed the best in him from the beginning, and so you did as angels do. Not to mention you put aside your differences with an enemy to save a life you could've ended." He stood weakly and walked over to Serg. "Listen," he quietly said, making sure only Serg heard him, "I have to get some supplies from just a few yards down the slope. Watch her until then. And the both of you, stay here."

"Serg I'm sorry..." Kaiisura said as she sat there miserably.

serg glanced at him. "sure." he went over to a boulder and climbed up, trying to get a view of their surroundings. he could see saizure and salmo off in the distance. he hopped back off and went into a crouch, watching kaisura.

Ereshkigal sighed and listened to Gean's words in her head. Gean was telling her where to go and who she'd be meeting. "You may control all of hell... But you have no control over me... When I return, I will teach you a lesson in respect." With that she disappeared, appearing in the meeting spot and waiting quietly for Ezekiel.

Gean shook her head and looked up at him sadly. "No... I'm sorry..."

Ezekiel saw Ereshkigal coming forth. He revealed himself from his ethereal form, the beautifully crafted blade in his hand. Looking arround he put it back to rest. No, there were no demons following her. Good, he said. He didn't want a massacre.

''It in good of you to come, godess of darkness. Before we start the meeting, I would like you tu use your mental powers, combined to mine, so we repulse any intruders from hearing what I am able to tell you.''

After the blockade, Ezekiel started to tell his story, of how he has now mastered the combined angel and demon blood inside him.

'' You, the training has grant me the full powers of demons and angels alike, and the combination, understood to its fullest, has granted me new powers, unknown to both races. And it is with this new knowledge that I come to you. Please hear my words''.

He opened his wings, and golden red light surrounded them, blinding everything arround them in perfect white. And then blackness came and fought the light, and for numerous minutes, a battle between both colors was raging. Finally they both calmed down and started to expand everywhere, mixing together, forming a perfect gray. Now Ezekiel and Ereshkigal were surrounded with gray, until Ezekiel closed back his wings, and the light dissepeared.

''Do you understand what I am telling you? Do you understand why Satan must die?''

Behind this wisdom, Ezekiel still had two more questions to ask her. He realised that, even in this state, curiosity and love would never leave him. He wanted to ask who is father really was, and if it would be ever permitted that he saw Gean again.

Ereshkigal glared at him from under her hood. "You want to kill my husband? Is this what you brought me here to talk about. I will not stand for it. If you even swipe at him I'll drop you where you stand child. Do not test me." With that she turned to leave, forgetting that he had more to ask her.

''My lady, there is more to this that it seems''... he added quickly, but with prestance.

''The world will no longer stand this state. Humans and their souls will no longer be safe. Too long as the war ravaged every part of these lands. To continue would be to condemn humanity, and all forces of this world, including me... and you.''

Waiting to make sure he had her interest, he continued.

''I know I ask a grat deal of you for even listening to the words I've said, but you mustg understand. Chaos, destruction and pain will be nothing compared to what is coming if we do not act now. You extremist husband cares only about himself. He would even gladly sacrifice you to stay in power. And I fear that never will he stop objecting against the words I am saying now.''

He came closer to Ereshkigal, and put one hand on her shoulder. Turning her slowly arround, now face to face, he then smiled..

'' There might be another way of doing this than to kill him, but I do not see any. You are his wife, you may no of other ways. Please remember what I have told you. Hell is nothing compared to nothingless.''

Ezekiel created a golden sphere in his hand, and presented it to Ereshkigal.

''Maybe you should think about this, it is no small manner. When you have arrived to a decision, touch this ball with the palm of your left hand and I will come to you.''

He left the golden sphere on a high rock beside them and walked on the opposite direction. With one last turn, he asked:

''Who was my father?''

She sighed and picked up the shere, putting it in her robe pocket. "A great worrior. He was the son of my daughter. She was a bastard child, and so I casted her out of our castle to live amongst the dying souls of mortals. She had a son, who grew to love Shagrath as his brother. She never told him of this, but he was Shagrath's nefew. He grew to love an angel before Shagrath, and was banished from our lands... Is there anything else you wish to ask me... Maybe about your beloved Gean?" She smiled and glanced back at him.

With his face looking down, he now understood what he had seen on Hell's wall some time ago. Now his understanding of his past was complete. He could now look forward to the present.
Rising his head, with a smile but sad eyes. eyes.

''Well, it seems you knew. But I'm afraid that, with the way you have approached me with this matter, any chance between us is in vain. Am I right?''

"Serg I'm sorry..." Kaiisura said as she sat there miserably.

Shadow limped over, handing her several daggers from his belt. He was weak, but he knew that he could manage to make it down the trail and back in only a few minutes. "For peace of mind. Anything comes at you that Serg can't handle, use 'em. I'll be back in a few minutes. I'm not going far." He wandered off down the path, kneeling where he had fought Salmo. His strength slowly gathered back as he found a few shards of steel lying about the ground. Kiryu... I can't believe that a minor block like that took some of the steel from you... You're supposed to be the ultimate sword... He gathered all of them together, melding them back into his sword as he headed back up to Kaii and Serg. "Alright, I'm good to go." He sat next to Kaii again, taking a look around. "If you've not been seen with me, you're still good to go back to your part in the fight, if so you choose. I, however, must remain a neutral party. The angels would never trust me, and the demons... Well, let's just say I'm as good as dead to them, now. It's your decision, Kaii, but..." He stopped himself there, the words sticking in his throat. I want you to stay with me... Is it so hard to say, Shadow?

Kaiisura glanced into Shadows eyes, then looked back downwards. what am I thinking? he's letting me go, but... is that want in his eyes? does he want me here? I have no purpose with the angels anyways, when they find out about Saizure I will be considered a traitor... "Shadow... there is no purpose of me going back, if I do I'll be seen as a traitor, sooner or later for believing Saizure was not a demon. Besides, I wasn't really much of a fighter. I only became a scouter to up hold my family name, seems like my brother will always be better at everything then me, I'll always be the blacksheep of my family. There's nothing for me to go back to now." She replied to shadow. am I crazy? I must be because I'm staying with him, I'm following my heart like Iofiel did...

Shadow nodded. He hadn't realized the angels were just as unforgiving. The rumors of their God being forgiving must not have as much truth as had been expected... "Then... Stay with me... Outcasts or not, we can still fight for what we believe in. Behind the scenes, if we must. We can end the war and bring about a state of peace..." He hesitated only a moment. "We can remain together..."
