Kaiisura suddenly looked at shadow, is he suggesting what i think he's suggesting? "Shadow..." i love you! I always have! what the seven heavens am i thinking? he doesnt feel the same way for me, he is just offering to stay with me. "... I'm glad your so kind to me in that way." she said. Kaiisura looked up at the sky.

Shadow wasn't sure how to react. For a demon, he was pretty open, but... Had he not been clear, or did she not feel the same as he did? Perhaps it was fated that he was to remain naught but protector? He wasn't sure. He simply pulled a small vial from his belt and drank it, a small bit of wine he'd carried out of the netherworld.

was that dissapointment she saw on his face when she looked at him. "Shadow..." Kaiisura sighed, "... answer me this..." she looked up at him, then looked away, "...I've.. had deep feelings for you... for such a long time now... I have to know..." she looked into his eyes, "Do...Do you feel the same way?" she asked. kaiisura's heart was beating fast now and she was scared.

Kaiisura heard Ekekiel's voice in her head.

''Break the balance of force, become one, no more black nor white, just gray. There is no more frontier to your heart...''

Shadow froze momentarily, his nerves getting the better of him again. He couldn't let that stop him, though. "Yes, Kaii. I do..."

Kaiisura's eyes widened at his response. she half froze and was speechless. "Shadow, do you... you mean it?" she asked, her heart was racing now, she was scared that she had made a mistake with telling him her true feelings.

Shadow smirked a bit, half wondering himself. "Demons are not taught to feel. We are bred to kill. As such, I cannot say for sure what it is that I feel, but I know I've never felt it before. And... I like it. With you, I feel as though it's no problem to do... anything."He took her hand in his own. "I don't want that to go away, Kaii."

Kaiisura looked deeply into shadows eyes, " I knew, when i saw you, what that feeling was, but I was confused and scared as to why I felt that way for you, and I always wondered if you felt the same.... but know this Shadow, as long as you feel the same way I feel about you..." Kaiisura put her forehead on his, held his hand near her lips, and looked very deeply into his eyes,"... it will never go away."

Shadow nodded, still feeling as though he had much to learn, even in his number of years. "I'm sure it won't, then."

<getting offline, sorry for short post. back... when i can...>>

Kaiisura slowly smiled at him, "I hope it doesn't... I don't want us ending up like Iofiel and Shagrath." she said to him.

(ok...)

Ereshkigal sigh heavily and rubbed her eyes. "There is but one chance. Mordeth will come to my throne bearing news of the battle. He will naturally leave the ailing Gean behind in his room. She has a hut there. She will be resting. That is your one chance to do as you please. Steal her, or simply talk with her, that is your choice. But you must be quick. His pets may be watching."

Ezekiel didn't want a confronattion with Mordreth, at least not now. It could destroy everything he's been trying to build in the past days. And worse, he knew that Mordreth was waiting for a moment to kill him. Ezekiel wasn't afraid of Mordreth, but decided to play the wise card.

''Thank you Ereshkigal, I will do as you say. And do not forget what I have just said to you. It might be the only way for me to connect with the darkness. Farewell for now''.

And with a blinding light, he etherelized himself to complete invisibility before dissapearing in the ground.

He made his way to hell that way. He knew where it was, having been there before. He entered by the throne room. Being invisible was probably the only thing that stood between a major battle. He moved through the corridor, passed the torture room. Finally he came across Mordreth whlo was heading to the throne room. With a smirk:

''Well, I guess grandma wasn't lying.''

As he entered the room, the hut came right to his eyes. As he came closer, he could see Gean's body, lying and resting.
He wanted to wake her, and with small fingertaps on her back, he called:

''Gean, it's me. It's Ezekiel. I couldn't wait for you to contact me, I had to see you''.

Ereshkigal nodded and returned to hell, sitting down beside her love. "Miss me darling?"

Gean jumped and looked up at the nothing before her. "How is it you are here? I can feel you and hear you but I cant see you." She stood and moved to the edge of her hut, sitting down with her legs hanging over the edge.

With a whisper, Ezekiel moved behind her, and brought his mouth closer to her neck, as he caressed her hair behind her ears.

''Someone who loves you. Someone who doesn't want to see you suffer anymore.''

As he spoke, his breath tickled the skin on the back of the neck. And he added:

''Who do you want it to be?''

She shivered and closed her eyes, trying hard to fight back the lust she suddenly felt for him. "I dont know... It's too hard for me to decide."

''My choice was made the very first moment I saw you. That's why I am here, beside you now.''

He said it, tracing a line from her neck to the bottom of her back. He wanted her to feel and see that he was there for her, and only for her. Kissing her neck soflty, he added:

''Come with me, Gean, let me show you a better place to live, away from hatred. I don't know what will happen in the future, but I will love you to the very end. I will love you...''

As he said those words, he left his ethereal form. Now, the hands caressing her neck were visible.

His kiss, his touch, his breath on her neck, all sent a shiver down her spine in a wave of heated pleasure. She smiled and opened her mouth to say yes. Her eyes snapped opened, her smile slowly faded. "I cant. I want to... But I cant leave here.. They need me. Mordeth needs me." She turned around to face him. "Ezekiel, I wan to go with you. I want to be with you. You are the only thing in 4000 years that has shown me this."

Ezekiel looked in her eyes. He felt the passion.

''Mordreth needs you. And so do I. And for that, one of us will perish by the other. Because neither of us will completely let you go in our hearts. Surely you have felt that too. But if it is so my destiny to die, I would have wanted to spend the rest of my life with you.''

And with that he leaned and kissed her for the first time when she was conscious. He felt her lips against his and the feeling made him lean forward, as he held the small better, delicately in his hands.

And then he backed off just a little.

''But if I kill Mordreth, then you would feel bad to a point...''

He closed his eyes and muttered:

''I'm afraid I've put all three of us in a leap of faith'', he said caressing her cheek. And for a second time in his life, a tear dropped.

She wiped his tears away and kissed him softly. "Maybe we dont have to suffer. Do you know the story of Iofiel and shagrath?" She smiled slyly and ran her tiny little hand down his cheek. "I could sneak out to see you, just as he did Iofiel... Would you like that Ezekiel?"

Ezekiel looked at her, and he never loved that woman more than he did now. She was willing to risk her safety for him. But he coudn't let her do it.

''You've always been besides Mordreth. To leave him on occasions would bring suspicions, especially if he finds out. I can't let you take that risk for me. But if you want, I could come to see you''.

He returned her kiss but this time is was wilder. If she would have been at her larger state, Ezekiel didn't think he could have controled himself. And that, even if Mordreth could come in any minutes.

''For you, I will avoid any conflict with Mordreth. I just want to see you safe''.
