Mordeth stod still, wanting to attack but knew he had to answer Gean's question "because...since you left, i lost all emotions besides my fury. thats what kept me alive since that day. i shown you so much more than kindness and yet in return you go to him...now i start to think that what i felt or still feel for you wasn't even worth the thought." he grabbed Behemoth's fur to stop the beast from running after Nakir. he looked up at him and spoke in backwards latin "great beast of mine, calm your restless soul. we will have our bloodlust fulfilled soon enough. wiat until the high sun sets upon the mountian pass. we will have her soul" he looked back at Gean "just answer me this, did you ever stop to think why i treated you better than any other creature i know? even better than the pet i had since i was made?"
She didnt answer him, she just stayed on his shoulder with her face burred against his jaw and quietly crying. Her light grew stronger, she was working hard to once again warm his heart.
Nakir sat down at her desk in her tent. She dismissed her guards and quietly looked up at Ezekiel. The fire in her eyes was gone. It was like she was a whole new person behind closed doors. "How may I help you my child?"
Mordeth climbed on top of Behemoth and spoke to him "great beast, take us to the mountain pass. i have a shelter for us to reside in for now." he looked back at Gean and knew what she was trying to do, feeling it work slowly "it'll take time for that. i let my heart grow colder than before. i let my fury engulf it in ice, colder then earth i was made from" he held on to Gean and Behemoth, closing his eyes against her touch and the wind
Nakir sighed and looked down at the map on her table with tiered eyes. "Many a night I have lain awake hoping for something to change the outcome of this war... What I saw today... Has no meaning to me yet. There is no possible way from where I stand that we could achieve that." She looked back up at him.
Gean closed her eyes and snuggled down into Mordeths hand. If Ezekiel wanted to find her then he could easily track her down.
Behemoth stopped, the cavern was big but hdden from those who tried to look for it. Mordeth climbed off of the great beast and patted its head. he looked down at Gean "this is where we will stay until i go back to heaven and fight Nakir. i can really careless what happens anymore" he walked inside the cavern and sat down on hay he took from a villiage he massacred. he watched Behemoth lay down and sleep, but still on the watch for any that get too near
Ezekiel smiled.
''I am not asking you to feel a meaning to it yet. I am asking you to consider it. Not some days ago, I saw lovers, an angel and one demon. There is nothing holding back from this fate than the demon's hatred and the angel's lack of faith in harmony. But I cannot blame you, suffering has been incredible.''
Pausing, he then started again.
''What i am saying is, I think I might hold the power to change the world of war as we know it now. I have the key, but need a door to open. From the angel's side, will you lend me this door?''.
Nakir sighed and looked down at the map. Acrossed it were modles of camps and thumb tacks the represented battle fields. Then she pushed herself to her feet and held out her hand. "We will provide one part of this door. The other you must seek from Satan... But yes... We have a deal. What must we do?"
Gean sat in his lap and looked up at him sadly. "I've missed you Mordeth."
Ezekiel stood up.
''From now, you will continue fighting the demons, for I cannot provide protection from them at the same time. And I fear Satan will be more difficult to convince than you. Until I have concluded a thruce with him, defend yourselves. You will know when to stop fighting when the golden sphere turns red.''
And as he said, he gave her a sphere he had created.
As he walked out of the room, he turned one last time.
''You know Mordreth will come to claim revenge. Please, do not let him kill you. That would be a problem, for only you in Heaven knows what I just spoke about''.
Turning one last time, he flew out of Heaven's kingdom. Sensing Gean, he followed the trail. He knew it would lead to Mordreth.
Mordeth sighed and shook his head. yes, it felt like the old days, but it wasnt the same. it wasnt the life he wanted to lead. "Gean..." he couldn;t finish the sentence because he didn't know what to say. he was lost for words. all he knew now was that if he killed, he can fill that void that she had made
Ezekiel looked at him.
''Well perhaps we can arrange that later. Everything has a remedy.''
Saying that, they arrived at the hut of the old lady.
She did not seem there for now. Ezekiel took out his sword.
''How about a little bit of training serg?''.
((We're going to have to wait for King of Blades' return to continue)).
