Aramis followed the action, invisible, but did not do nothign to save Mordreth. He hadn't come here for that. Witha beautiful white light, he appeared, still under his hood cover, a small black pearl in total darkness,

''Good evening Satan, lord of all demons. It has been a long time since we've last met. I come to you to discuss, and fortunately, nothign else will happen. Are you prepared to listen to my words?''

Aramis glimpsed at Ereshkigal next to him, and with an allmost imperceptible smile, made sure she understood who he was under his clothes and hood.

Ereshkigal jumped to her feet and looked at Satan. "Please my love reconsider! He is our best! You cant do this!" She glanced down at Aramis before looking back at her husband. "I wont allow you to take his life!"

Gean stayed on Mordeth's shoulder, holding on tight to his shirt. "I'm not leaving you sir. I wont let them kill you."

''Ereshkigal, there is no need for him anymore. That is, if Satan wishes to hear my plea. That he dies or not, I care not. But I will not have disturbance, for peace is just a few words away. Do you understand, Queen of Darness?''

Satan cut off all of them in the hall "he is to die today! he has digraced our land for far too long!" he flicked his wrist and bound Mordeth's wrist and legs together

Mordeth fell face first to the ground, making sure Gean wasn't on his shoulder before he hit the ground "well, this will be an honorable death. my time on this plain was good." he laughed, this was the reward he wanted to receive "do your worst, my Lord"

Aramis stood looking at Mordreth. He felt nothing for him. He did not want him to live, but did not want him to die also. Poor creature he thought. It was a soul Nex would not bring back, as he have only brought back one person in all history.

He looked at Satan.

Ereshkigal grabbed Satan's arm and squeezed tightly. "You cannot kill him! Stop this at once." She flicked her hand, keeping a grip on Satan's arm, and release Mordeth.

Gean had fallen down with Mordeth after he was bound. She pushed herself to her feet and dusted herself off. "Ezeki- I mean Aramis, hold your tongue my love... Let them solve this on their own." She looked sadly up at Mordeth.

A tall seemingly mechanical angel stood by the old woman. Behind him stood five hundred strong and similar looking armored celestials in black and red. The old woman and the leader were looking out towards the rolling plains, the great mountain at their backs. He stood tall and majestic, a true symbol of ancient power. A well ornate sword stood clasped to his belt, and a strange cube marked the design upon his armor.

"He tried, you must understand, he did try. He sought to teach them what you learned, but he didn't understand your interpretations. Please, he did..."

The celestial rose his right hand in contempt, unwilling to let her continue, "though he tried, as Metatron did so long ago, he, as his predecessor, failed. The people have suffered long enough. Both kingdoms shall fall. And all who stand in my way." He spread his wings and then took flight, each row of his soldiers following suite right after the other. They ascended quickly like shooting stars, and rocketed towards the gates of heaven. They flew with such skill and secrecy that they effected the ethereal plain like wind against a pond. Mere ripples in the fabric of existence. God's kingdom grew fast approaching, soon it would begin, the war to end all wars.

He arrived at the threshold of Heaven. He landed swiftly and silently upon the terrain, and his faithful soldiers followed suite once more. He began walking, and with every step, life was drained from beneath his foot. The soldiers also had the same effect and from a birds eye view it looked as if the land beneath them were being torn in two. He rose his hand in a clenched fist and halted his force. He had reached the gates with his celestials several yards away from him. Without having to gaze at the angels who had drawn their arrows at this threatening army, he spoke in a more then intimidating voice, "send for Nakir, and do make me wait long."

Satan slapped his wife and flciked his wrist, throwing her on her throne and trapping her to it. "how dare you try to set free my prisoners! your punishments will be dealt with later!" he flicked his wrist again and bound Mordeth's and Gean's arms and legs back together "you two, will face execution for your betrayal. and you Gean, you have a dsigrace growing inside of you! it shall die wiht you today!" he looked at his guards and growled "take these bastards away from my sight and to thier death's" the gaurds grabbed Gean and Mordeth, leading them into the pits where they were to be executed

30 minutes later....

as the executioner was about to swing the blade down, Mordeth freed his hand and forced it through the demon's body, its heart still beaiting in his hand. he killed the guard and ran to Gean, freeing her from her death "Gean, we must run! now!" he grabbed her and called Behemoth to come and bring his weapons "we have to stay on the mortal realm...we can't come back here and heaven is looking for both of us. we're nothing but rogues"

A servant came into the medical tent and whispered into Nakir's ear. She sighed and rubbed her eyes before pushing herself off the table. The doctor's eyes widened and he tried to keep her down. "What are you doing?! You cant move yet, or your wounds will rip open!" She pushed him off and forced herself to her feet. "Hush... They have probably come to kill me anyways... What good will it do to hide in here?" She pushed through the tent flaps and made her way to Heaven's gates, stopping before the army. "What do you want?"

Gean nodded and held tight to his hand. "Run then. Run as fast as you can Great Beast!"

Ereshkigal sat quietly in he chair, glaring up at her husband. "You bastard... You will pay for what you have done to me! How dare you!"

He was curt in his response, "Your unconditional surrender of your outpost and the kingdom of heaven. Your purpose to protect the humans has been a colossal failure. It is time for a stronger more competent protector of man. Surrender and you will be allowed to dwell with the mortals as their guardian angels. A task you were created to fulfill long ago. Refuse my offer, and will will lay siege to this kingdom. Be grateful, hell will not be given so gracious an offer."

Satan turned on his wife "it had to be done! they betrayed our land and you were going to let them live! Gean also had a foul seed growing inside of her but yet that didn't seem to bother you one bit." his eyes glown with a hate and evil like no other "and besides, i have a new arch demon. one who i can trust more than Mordeth. one who can kill Mordeth"

Mordeth hid in a cavern, gasping for air "we'll rest for a couple of hours. we can't be in one for long. Gean, i need you to stay here and not go back to the half-breed. and i know you can talk to him without him being here, so tell him not to follow." he gripped the hilts of his scimitars and watched the night, looking to see if any demons had followed them

Azreil walked into the hall, his white hair flowing with grace "my Lord and my Lady, the two prisoners have escaped their executions...all Mordeth's doing. shall i go and kill them?" he waited patiently for an answer

Nakir staightened, hiding the pain in her eyes with pure hatred. "I refuse. But that is just me." She glanced down at her shirt. Her stitches had been ripped open. She could feel blood trickling down her body. "Now please leave this place. My men do not deserve to be harmed for my desicion."

Gean nodded and snuggled close to Behemoth. 'Ezekiel... My love... I'm sorry. But you cannot see me much any longer... I was to be exicuted, but I ran... I'm sorry that our child will grow to live a rouge's life."

Ereshkigal spat at Satan's feet. She said noting to the new comer.

Satan ignored his wife and looked at Azreil "those bastards! i want you to assemble and army and search for them. once found, kill all of them on sight! oh and after that, declare an attack on heaven....their arch angel is weak right now so it should be easy" he watched Azreil go and looked at his wife "after all you done to embarrass me, i thought it was time to do the same to you..."

an hour later...

Azreil walked in front of the army and smiled while he was giving orders "you are to kill your old commander, his fairy and his pet. if you let them you live, i will kill you myself. and after we are done, we will attack heaven!" he smiled as the army threw up their swords and saluted him

Mordeth waited for something, not knwoing what but just the fact that something was going to happen "Gean, if something happens to me...go and run with Behemoth. they cannot catch him and he doesn't need to rest at all. run with him to the end of the world." he quieted and listened to the sound of marching feet

Ereshkigal closed her eyes and turned her head away from him

Gean looked up from where she sat beside Behemoth. "I wont leave you if you wont come with me." She flew over and listened as well. "They have an army after us."

Ereshkial opened her eyes and looked down at the floor. "Heaven is under attack."

Mordeth unsheathed his scimitars and motioned Gean to be quiet. he whispered "we will attack from behind their flanks. we will have a better chance then." he looked and noticed the army was twice as huge as the one he used to lead

Satan looked at his wife and smiled "well, then it'll be easier for us. we'll just have to kill the other attackers while we're at it"

Ereshkigal's eye twitched as if she were in pain. "Their leader is much stronger then Nakir's full power is." She looked up at him sadly. "Our army doesnt compair to his."

Gean landed and looked out sadly. "We cant take that on... Come my dear please let us run!"

Satan laughed "Azreil can kill them by himself. he is a part of me...in more than you can imagine."

Mordeth looked at Gean "we have to kill some, or that will keep following us. maybe a hundred men, maybe less, maybe more. we have to kill some of them though." he looked back at the men and slowly slipped out of the cave, hiding in the night

Gean shook her head and moved back into the cave. "He's not listning to me Behemoth... He's going to get killed." She looked up at him sadly and burried her face in his fur.

Azreil held up his hand to make his men halt. he looked around, sensing something in the night "i think we have found our dear friend Mordeth. or more on the lines that he found us." as he got done finishing his sentence, one of his men yelled out but was silenced. more of his men had yelled, scream and fallen

Mordeth worked his way through the men, knowing Gean was worried but knew what he was doing had to be done. after he lost count of bodies, he ran back towards the cave, the night sheilding him. or so he thought. the moon shined off of his armor for a seond, giving his postion away. without time to react, Mordeth prepared for the arrow as he heard it come his way. it stuck through his shoulder and forced itself out the other side. he looked around and noticed that it was a lucky shot. he ran back to the cave and sighed as he sat down, slowly pulling out the arrow "i'm back, if you haven't noticed"

Gean gasped and flew over, taking a good look at his wound. "Oh god I knew something was gonna happen to you! Here hold still." She grew and ripped a piece of her robe off, using it to stop the bleeding on both sides. "My light is going to give us away.. I'm sorry but I dont want you to bleed to death."
