Aramis smiled and muttered to himself.
''Fool, you have never faced such as me''.
With a swift movement, Taker of Souls was taken out. With an ecliptic blast, particules flew everywhere, and Aramis reformed behind Azreil, plundging his blades in his back.
''Each time my blade pierce you, I suck a part of your demonic life.''
Taking it out, he transported back in front of Azreil.
''If you were, you would understand you do not face a normal opponent'', Aramis said while getting in a defensive position, waiting for him to strike.
Azreil smiled "so your going to try and destroy the closest thing there is to a god?" he laughed and stabbed his left blade at the half-breed and plunged the right one into the half-breed's chest "now, my weapons have an affect too...they play images of pain and suffering from your life...now watch!"
Mordeth watched the two, ready to attack if something went wrong
Aramis took out Azreil's blade from his chest with is hand. His eyes turned pale blue as he glared upon Azreil's.
''I am a half-bred, but I am not. It is my body, but it is not. My spirit is beyond that pain which you try to inflict upon me.''
Letting the blade go, it fell on Azreil's side.
''You are a part of Satan, I can feel it. Well, when you'll join with him once again, he will know that a creature without flesh, more than demon nor angel, has stood against him and his tyranny.''
Wings opened, it let a wind current who made a cry of its own. Hair flew in the vast power, as Taker of Soul struck at the neck, cutting head from body, before retracting the movement with his arms, plundging one last time in Azriel's chest. Where the blade touched, the demon's body consumed blackness as it seem to shrunk on itself.
Taking out his blade, Aramis cried to the army.
''Go back to your captain, not the liar and betrayer, but with whom he would give his life to protect you. Now it is time for you to protect him.''
As he said those words, his head turned to the presence behind the mountain. It was Mordreth, and Gean.
Azreil's laugh was heard over Aramis' cry "fool! you think you can kill something like me?" his body vanished into a pool of darkness and refomred behind Aramis "i am not like hi-" he looked over and seen Mordeth on Behemoth's back and growled "we'll finish this later...men attack the betrayer!" he soldiers ran after Mordeth and Gean
Mordeth's eyes went up in surprise and jumped off Behemoth, his free hand ready to attack, the other holding Gean close to him. the first wave of soldiers ran by him and he slain many and neutralized few. the second wave was more than the first and Mordeth didn't have time to kill all of them so he ran from some. "he looked at Aramis and smiled, thinking to himself and trying to think to Aramis "when this is done...we will have one more fight."
Mordreth would try to kill him at the cost of his life if Aramis helped him. But for the time being, he was at the same time protecting Gean and his child.
With a swift stab, Aramis formed a golden globe at the tip of his sword. With a side movement, he let a ray of golden sharp energy that utterly destroyed the 3rd and 4rth wave. That would, for the time being, ensure that Mordreth woudl live, and still distract him with battle.
Aramis turned towards Azriel.
''It seems that neither of us actually pocess the way to destroy the other. Some options are then forfeit. However, half your present army has been destroyed. And I must warn you that there is another half-bred like me, that did not come out of Heaven to fight. What is it we do?''.
Seeing Mordreth flying towards them.
Aramis took the opportunity to link his thoughts with Ereshkigal.
''Remember what I have told you long ago in Sicilia. Now is the time to act. I have a feeling Satan is connected with Azriel's body. He will keep coming back whenever Satan controls the outcome. Distract him, make him lose focus of this battle, so I can finally destroy the danger that is Azriel from this earth''.
Opening his eyes, sword straight, he waited for the right moment to strike his final blow, still wondering what Mordreth had in mind.
Behemoth slowly strolled torwards the men in front of the gates. Mordeth had a grim expression on his face, looking at what was the beginning of the end for all life. "this might be the last fight for us all...anyone of us could die" he laughed at the thought and looked at Azreil with hatred in his eyes, the red dots glowing like fire
Azreil looked at both Mordeth and Aramis "so...you think he can help you defeat me? or is he here to destroy us all like he wanted to not so long ago?"
Mordeth slowed Behemoth to a stop and climbed off his back, walking up to Aramis and Azreil "hmm...the demons you like they are in bad shape since i last was in charge of them." he didn't smile but tightened his grip on his scimitar, glaring at both of his opponents
Azreil smiled "well, i think they are better than before. now what are we going to do about this? i have two people i have to kill and those two want to kill each other...should i wait until one dies or should we fight right now?"
Aramis sent a thought to Mordreth.
''Mordreth, listen to me. I am a spirit, without any real flesh to call my own. I am bound here for one love, the desire to make the world better for Gean and my coming child. Until then I cannot be killed. However, once this task is accomplished, my spirit will fade away and I will leave this plane for the land of the Dead, reuniting until the end of time with my friend, Nex.''
He paused, knowing what he was going to ask.
''You love Gean, and this is why I want you to saty alive. For when I am gone, I want you to be with her and protect her... and take care of my child, as if it were your own. Teach him vertue I know you have inside yourself. To teach him who I was and what I did.''
With a final grin, he added:
''Besides, if we ally ourselves now, there is a much better chance of this to end sooner, therefore that I dissapear.''
Aramis waited for a reply.
Mordeth smiled "so if we team now...i can finally get rid of you? i think i'll take that into consideration." he lost his smile and glared at Azreil again "i know i'm no better than you, but you are worse than i...for that you shall die today!"
Azreil laughed "so you think you can kill what you did not create? then lets find out"
((aha!! a used a line from a slipknot song))
Mordeth nodded, never taking his eyes off of Azreil
Azreil shook his head and attack both of them, his blade missing Aramis but the other plunging intself into Mordeth's ribs
Mordeth let out a shout and stopped himself as images of pain and suffering flooded his vision. visions of lives he stole, of those betrayed of hurting the one he loved
Azreil smiled and looked back at Mordeth and twisted his scimitar further into him
Mordeth tried to shake away the images but they kept coming back, especailly the one of how he treated Gean not so long ago "i didn't mean it...i just felt heart broken" he thought he said it to himself butdidn't know he yelled it lod enough for all to hear
