Mordeth smiled "its ok...they won't come find me just yet. they're too busy taking care of the fallen. but we have to move, soon" he got up and smiled at Gean...he didn't know why but he wanted to smile at her.

Azreil growled "how the Hell do you let him escape? he was right there under your nose!" he looked at the frightened soldier and shook his head, plunging his scimitar in his neck "waste of life"

Satan growled "well my wife, looks like your favorite demon has escaped his fate for now. maybe that'll make you happy."

Ereshkigal closed her eyes and bowed her head.

Gean nodded and smiled back before returning to her smaller size. "Then we better get going."

Mordeth climbed on the back of Behemoth and held Gean close to him "this is going to be hard to get used to...but it should be fun for a bit" he nodded at Behemoth and the great beast ran off into the night

Satan looked at his wife "so what are you going to say? i know you want to say something about him being able to escape and kill some of my men"

She looked up at him and sighed. "I'm not going to say anything. There is nothing to say. You have made your choice already."

Gean held tight to Mordeth. "Wont they see us?"

Mordeth shook his head "no, they won't...not if they don't look our way"

Satan shook his head "after all these years, i finally have a say at what happens. now relax for the time being"

Nakir staightened, hiding the pain in her eyes with pure hatred. "I refuse. But that is just me." She glanced down at her shirt. Her stitches had been ripped open. She could feel blood trickling down her body. "Now please leave this place. My men do not deserve to be harmed for my desicion."

As she turned to walk away, the Celestial extended an arm and grabbed her by the waist, and drew her towards the gate gently. Resting a heavily armored hand upon her wound, a cool evanescent light began to glow around the area of contact. While he healed her, he whispered in a softer more welcoming voice, "Your men are loyal, and you are just. Kindness has not yet left your cold hard demeanor. You can be as I remembered you once so long ago." The light faded but he still held her close, "do not let your emotions come between what is right for mankind. The future of the innocents." Shadowing her in his grasp, the hand that healed stretched out forming a puddle at their feet. The puddle became silver in appearance and then reflective showing Nakir in this beings arms. It rippled to show fire, blood and destruction as countless humans, men and women and children, were slain mercilessly at the hands of Mordeth. "Is this the future God has envisioned for his children?" He turned her around to face him and no longer did she see an armored creature, but a man in robes. His wings were huge, their tips resting on the floor as they folded behind his back. His eyes were pure hazel, and his hair was a darker brown. He bore upon his face a trimmed beard and mustache that connected on the sides. He towered Nakir only by a head, and wasn't much larger in width. "Please, Nakir," he held her hands close to his lips, "let us in." He gently kissed her hands never breaking the link between his eyes and hers.

Gean closed her eyes and shook her head. "I'm so scared... I dont want to die Mordeth... I want my child to live."

Nakir's heart skipped a beat as she listened to him speak. She relaxed in his arms and pulled a spare key from her robe. Her eyes never left his as she unlocked the gates. Quietly she reached up and ran her finger tips over his lips. "Come in then... And save God's children."

Nakir's heart skipped a beat as she listened to him speak. She relaxed in his arms and pulled a spare key from her robe. Her eyes never left his as she unlocked the gates. Quietly she reached up and ran her finger tips over his lips. "Come in then... And save God's children."

He brought her close till their noses touched, he gazing intently into her eyes. He brought her face in for a kiss which was full of warmth and passion. As he held her head during this moment an empty cold feeling pierced her heart. The sword punctured between her chest cavity and came out between her wings. She collapsed in his arms as he held her close to his chest. Kneeling besides her, he brushed away a few strands of hair and set them behind her ear. "Do not worry, it wont hurt for long." He brushed his hand against her cheek, "suffer no more, love. Nor face the hardships to come. I grant you rest, be at peace." He set her head down on the soft surface and stood above her no longer his handsome but intimidating form. His armor shone in the light of the sun.

The angels surrendered without a fight, and those who resisted were subdued effortlessly. The celestial stood amongst the arrested angels who were transfixed with his appearance. "Long has the kingdom of God and the rebellious demons waged war against one another. And at what cost? You lay siege to one another only that the humans may pay for your price of failure. No longer. No longer will their blood be shed on your account. No longer will they pay for your inadequacy. We will wage war with all of Hell and not end until they die are we do. We shall see who stands victor after this." A look of terror flooded the faces of the angels as the cry of the hybrids rumbled all of heaven with a rolling war cry.

She closed her eyes and moaned softly at his kiss, reaching up to run her hand down his cheek. Her eyes snapped open and her hand fell to her side as she slumped to the ground. She looked up at him as a tear rolled down her cheek. Her vision blurred, and soon blackened. "Ezekiel," She thought. "Tell Verin I loved him... Please... Save my men... I... I've failed them.." She shivered and let out a soft sigh before she walked into the light. All was still on earth as she passed.

Aramis came at speed to Heaven. He had sensed great disturbance. And after the message Gean had given him, decided it was the only place for him to be. He crossed the gates just as Metatron let Nakir's body to rest, all bloody, on the ground.

''Metatron, what is the meaning of this? Surely you cannot take yourself to govern Heaven against Hell?''

He came closer to his old friend.

''Friend of faf before I was born, I have seen your past suffering. And I understand it, for I live a similar one right now. But as much as I despise Hell...''

He closed is eyes.

''I have come to realise that Hell, like Heaven, must not be destroyed. That is what is in my mind, and I know it is as it should. Not knowing this would mean that you are nothing more than an memory of pain, anger and destruction. And in that case, I will need to do what must be done.''

With his right hand, he gripped the tilt of his sword, sadness in his eyes.

Mordeth looked at Gean "you won't day and neither will the child. not when i'm here." he tugged Behemoth's mane harder and the great beast ran faster

Azreil watched as the three ran into the night "we'll leave them be for now. men, we are going to attack heaven and burn it down to its foundation of lies!" his men let out a cheer, mostly because they didn't want to kill Mordeth or Gean

Aramis talked to Gean while having his sword gripped.

''My love, please be careful. Mordreth will protect you as best he can, but if he should fail, come back to me.''

Aramis then turned to the thoughts of Mordreth:

''Mordreth, a great battle will begin in heaven, and I may need your help if ever the angels were to join Metatron, an ancient force back to this world''

serg landed on top of saizure, stabbing his knife into saizures back, just missing the spine. "begon demon filth!"

waitin for a respnse...))

Gean smiled faintly and closed her eyes i Mordeth's hand. 'My love... You are only in spirit... Come and see me tonight if you wish... I miss you.. And dont worry. Mordeth will keep me safe.' She looked up at Mordeth and added out loud. "I trust him with all my heart and soul."

Ereshkigal bowed her head to hide a tear. "Nakir is dead... Heaven has fallen... We are all that is left... They will come here next." She bristled, wanting to meet the man who had single handily taken down the arch angel.

Aramis saw that Metatron did not respond. He seemed confused by the words he said to him. Without time, a golden sphere came out of Aramis, only to cover them entirely under a dome.

''It's only you and me Metatron. Nothign can penetrate this barrier, not even God nor Satan's mind. Talk to me, tell me what sorrows you have. We are the same. I am you and you are me. You cannot see that?''

He said, his hand still on the blade. He he was to fight Metatron, it would be a close battle. Like in his dream, it could have great consequences on both of them.

Mordeth growled at Aramis' thoughts but ran to the mountain side that reaches to heaven "looks like we'll have a war today...and we may not be the only demons there"

Azreil led his troops into heaven, looking around and laughing "so this is what took Mordeth many years to accomplish? even though he has still failed? we will take all of this land and any that walk in it." his troops let out a cry that sent shivers up spines of any that heard them

Satan looked at his wife "what makes you think they could take Hell? they killed an arch angel, not a god. we can destroy them without even thinking about it. and even though you know that, you're still going to complain about it." he looked back to the hall and waited patiently for the battle to begin

Aramis heard the forces of darkness marching. He would deal with Metatron another time. What was done was done, and could not be stopped.

Dropping the golden sphere, he went to the gates of Heaven.

And he saw the demon's army with a general at its door.

''What is it you want fiends?''

Azreil smiled at Aramis "we want this land and all who reside in it dead." his purple eyes glowing with the will to kill anything that walked

Behemoth ran into the clouds and walked along the outskirts of heaven. Mordeth looked ahead and seen his army, or what was his army, behind Azreil and in front of Aramis "damn, we could already be too late..." he sighed and unsheathed a scimitar with his free hand

Aramis smiled.

''That's all I wanted to hear.''

He turned to the hellish army.

''So now you follow blindly a man you wants to destroy your past captain, a man of honor who got betrayed by himself and his pain. Shame that this army was strong, obedient and loyal. But throw loyalty away, and you have lost all three. Reclaim your captain, who has led you for thousands of years, before death strikes ye who will lose heart on this day!''

Turning back in front of the new captain, Aramis drew his blade.

''As for you, mercy will not aid you escape your faith.''
