All acting ahead of the pirates! You have come even with Myraline, deflecting blaster fire as you push your way across the street.
Quinn provides another two kills, this time to take some heat off of Myraline.
Rianna and Myraline charge in, side by side, Myraline carefully angling her blade to deflect incoming fire and Rianna twisting nimbly about to avoid the pirates' shots. Having closed in, the Jedi put the pirates in an awkward position as you force them into close combat with blaster rifles...
Rianna takes 5 damage.
Myraline takes 16 damage.
They really must not find Quinn threatening, despite him being the one that has made all the kills so far. He is clear.

Attaaaaack!
Rianna is absolutely deadly in these kinds of situations, even as an up-and-coming Padawan. Snapping an attack brings your skill down to 10... but with Carnival of Carnage and the natural lethality of the lightsaber factored in, you add +4 back due to MKP. On top of that, one frame attack!
14 rolled... consider that pirate cut cleanly in half as Rianna viciously establishes her presence amongst her foes. Followed by a 6... a dead-on kill as you swipe your lightsaber across the next one's front! Two kills, two frames.
Myraline takes the practical route with a Twirl. One clean swipe downs two pirates on a 6 and a 9!
Quinn brings down another.
When the pirates start to rattle off their shots, Rianna drives her lightsaber through another poor goon in a Riposte, tapping into her extra pool. She does take a hit for 6 damage, though.
Nothing for Myraline, who does not bother defending.
The pirates finally have gotten it that Quinn is shooting them up. 15 damage to him as sudden bursts come his way! But he can handle it.

A small group of tougher-looking flunkies throw themselves out of the transport, wielding heavy blaster rifles. They are followed by a burly and bearded individual with a sleek rifle wired to a small tank at his belt.
Only time for one attack this time! But Rianna performs it thoughtlessly.
Myraline changes tactics this time. Instead of attacking with her lightsaber, she performs a concentrated Combat Push into the cluttered pirates about her. 9, 8, 15... two pirates are knocked out of the fight, another is only roughed up. Quinn shoots him for good measure, and another on yet another 20! He's currently rolled four in the past three actions... dumb luck.
The pirates double their efforts, now supported by the Commandos and their Leader. But apparently it is not enough with their current numbers, in close range, or against the defensive uses of your lightsabers! Only Quinn sustains any damage, a measely five...
The Commandos let off some shots from their heavier blasters! But again only Quinn takes a hit, this time for 6.
The Leader now takes his turn. That sleek rifle is actually a compact flamethrower. With the Jedi having thinned out the pirates immediately around them, he has no problem unleashing a stream of blue flame at them! The flames scorch Myraline for 10 damage, Rianna for 11 damage, but it is only a close call and you do not catch fire.
Myraline minimizes it to 5, of course.

Okay! Back in action...
Rianna puts some distance between herself and Myraline... but she fails to kill that pirate as she moves. Just out of reach!
Myraline cuts one down to clear her way towards the Pirate Leader, and Quinn gets two thanks to the MKP on his heavy pistol.
Retaliation time...
The pirates seem to be too busy avoiding you to get a shot in, leaving you clear to close a short distance and run that pirate through that you missed. Myraline does not even bother defending herself, passively deflecting shots as she goes. Even Quinn stays clear.
Commando fire misses you, but Myraline is hit! She takes an active dodge... implimenting the defensive bonus of Saber Shield, reducing the resulting damage by her level in it. 9 damage sustained, regardless, as she awkwardly deflects the attack. She reduces it to 5 again. Quinn dodges his Commando attacker and stays clear.
The Leader seems to have decided that, between Myraline and yourself, you are the most lethal, so you remain his target. The flames scorch you again for 12 damage, and you take a -1 penalty! But the spraying weapon manages to take out a pirate as well.

Down the street, there is clanking as battle droids are deployed from a nearby building- must be a warehouse- led by a formidable figure that you recognize as being the man that Councilor Roch was speaking with. He appears unarmed, but the two dozen droids with him have blaster carbines that look something like sci-fi MP18s.
The droids do not seem to be coming in your direction, but Mr. Big sees the three of you fighting off the pirates and seems to be approaching. Nine frames distant, though.
This time you manage to cut down your man. Myraline only wounds, with Quinn finishing that one off and shooting down another as he has been doing.
Nothing from the pirates, and you Riposte another down. And with only a single attacker from the pirate mooks, Rianna, I will change your defensive action to an active dodge and play it off against the Commando blasting at you...
Uhoh! The Commando rolls a 20 on you, a bolt burning across your side for 12 damage, a -3 penalty, and a Death Check! Which you pass with your own 20.
Myraline active dodges her Commando again and takes 1 point of damage, while Quinn takes 3.
The Leader JUST misses you, inflicting only 3 damage from the intense heat of the flamethrower... that's another Death Check, and a pass.

Mr. Big is now six frames distant, and your Pool is refreshed.
The Commando does not see it coming. Your lightsaber cuts lightly across his stomach as you suddenly turn and lash out at him. He tries to get off a clumsy shot, but misses! You promptly Riposte and drive your lightsaber straight through his chest. He slides backwards off your blade.
The Pirate Leader is infuriated that you have slain one of his best men and pumps a Fortune point into his torrent of flames! He rolls a 15... raised to a 20 by the Fortune point. Rianna is caught directly in stream of flaming liquid and her robes catch fire. 14 damage takes you to 93... fail. You are taken out of the fight as you struggle to put out the flames slowly spreading over your body...
Myraline has had enough. She interposes herself between your writhing figure and the Pirate Leader, swiping for his chest with her lightsaber. But he dodges just in time, falling back under the assault of her lightsaber.
Quinn snaps off a sequence of shots that finish off the pirate mooks, dropping onto one knee as he brings them down with his casual shots. But then he stumbles over himself as he tries to rise to avoid the lasers fired by the Commandos, the remaining two of them firing at the pestering pilot.
The formidable man charges past Quinn. Without a weapon, it appears as if he is going to engage the pirates in close combat... but when he closes to three frames distant, he is suddenly propelled through the air by a small explosion beneath his feet, carrying him over the fight and landing on the transport.
You manage to pull off your robes, but you have already sustained some painful burns and the fumes from the burning chemicals have made you unsteady. You hobble away from the fight, having dropped your lightsaber during the effort to pull off your robes.
The large man stands up on the transport. But it looks odd. You realize that he is standing up straight, but at an angle on the hull of the transport.
With his expression still somewhat dull, the man turns towards where the Leader and Myraline are engaged in heated battle. He raises his right arm, and a small rocket pops out of his wrist as he readies his aim...
Easily done.
Myraline and the Pirate Leader both glance up at the man with the rocket. Just as the rocket flies loose with a trail of sparks behind it, they throw themselves prone, away from each other. The Commandos are too preoccupied with firing at Quinn to do so.
The man rolls a 15. The rocket hits dead-center between Myraline and the remaining Pirates. It explodes in a brilliant flash of white light, leaving a steaming crater in the snow and knocking over its targets.
Myraline dives sideways to avoid the brunt of the blast, taking 12 damage that she Evades out to nothing as she tumbles away.
The Pirate Leader also dove out of the way, but lacks Myraline's Jedi advantage. He takes 13 damage as the explosion tosses him against the side of the transport.
The Commandos each take 28 damage as they are partially shredded by debris from the explosion and badly burnt by the intense heat it creates.
But the man is not done. Before they have a chance to retaliate against his destructive attack, he raises both arms and points them towards the Commandos. Pairs of thin cylinders extend from the tops of his forearms... and he opens fire in a blazing wall of lasers.
With his double-blasters in both arms, he deals 15 damage to one Commando and 6 damage to the other. The first is taken well past his limit and the lasers scythe right through him. The other tries to fight back, but takes a shot in the back from Quinn and goes down.
